Never understood that whole dreading the dentist thing, and sincerely hope I never do. My visit to Dr. Lonquist's office is always a pleasure. A hygienist will always do the cleaning, and they have always been wonderful. Very gentle and friendly. Currently I have been seeing Debra, and you can't help but love her, but all of them are great! Bonnie, the receptionist, is awesome. She's been there since I began going as a young child (am now 24). Dr. Lonquist comes in to check on things during the cleaning, and he did all my orthodontia work when I had braces. Now that was not nearly as fun as a cleaning, but I suppose it was part of growing up. Dr. L installed a permanent retainer at the back of my bottom teeth upon the completion of my straightening, and they're still perfectly straight! Oh, and the office is very very homey and comfortable. Can't beat that. Each client is seen in their own small room, which is nice. Although I've been living in California for over a year now, I'll always call Bonnie to schedule my cleanings when I go back to Dallas! I definitely recommend scheduling an appointment here, especially if you have any fear about visiting a dentist. Just ask for Debra and you'll be set! :D

We prepaid their annual in house plan for our 3 children (7, 4, 2) - $150/child for a total of $450. The in house plan was supposed to cover 2 exams, 2 cleanings and x-rays for the year. Unfortunately, our visit didn't go well. The office apparently isn't equipped with an x-ray device small enough for children's mouths. The technician accidentally hurt the inside of my 7 year old's mouth while attempting to get the x rays. This unfortunately upset him and the tech prepared a topical numbing agent for his cleaning (this seemed crazy to me as I have never hear of using a topical to make a cleaning "more comfortable" as she described it). I was very surprised this was prepared without asking me if it was ok. Maybe they would have asked prior to applying it, but it was locked and loaded so to speak. The dentist then explained that he had 3 cavities to be filled (in front of him) which caused him to get even more upset. I had him calmed down and she mentioned referring us to an orthodontist where they can determine if he needs braces. This sent him in to a crying freak out. Upon which she suggested we wait to do his cleaning until he's under nitros with his cavity filling. We scheduled the next appointment and they said they'd contact me with pricing to fill the cavities. This kiddo has seen a dentist twice a year since he was 3 years old and has NEVER even been nervous. They were unable to x-ray my 4 year old because "her mouth was too small" for their equipment however she did receive her cleaning. My 2 year old received a cleaning and no x rays due to his age. I asked the desk clerk what the plan would be moving forward regarding getting x rays for my 4 year old and my very soon to be 3 year old for his next visit. She said she would speak to the dentist about maybe ordering a smaller device. After discussing the experience with my husband we decided this was not a good fit for our kids. My husband called and left a message to discuss canceling our appointment and requested a partial refund for the services paid for and not rendered (since we wouldn't be returning for our 2nd set of semi-annual check-ups). The next communication was to call me with a voicemail telling me the price of the cavity filling procedure, making no mention of the message my husband left. He called once again and left a message. The office staff attempted to reach him but he didn't answer so she called me. This is long so I'll summarize: they told us we were due zero refund since, had we not done the in house plan, our services would have been more than what we had paid for the year a la carte. She even sent me a link to a website to "educate me on fair pricing for dentistry." I did not expect a full refund. I would have been satisfied with any effort to refund a portion of the prepaid services. Considering we received less than 1/2 the services promised to no fault of our own, I was shocked they have refused to refund any of our money. They only offered to conduct the cleaning when I come back, however there was absolutely no was I was taking my son back. He was TERRIFIED. I chose to take my son elsewhere for his cleaning (of which I had to pay for again) and was told he only needed 2 fillings and no need to consult an orthodontist at this point. He was so scared from his prior experience, he couldn't stop crying. Again, he has never shed a tear in a dentist's office. Thankfully we chose a SPECTACULAR pediatric dentist and he was able to completely turn it around and my son was all smiles when he got his fillings done. I would not recommend this office for children or anyone else for that matter due to their business practices.

You always see the same dentist and he is very knowledgeable and honest. He never finds unneeded dental work and explains everything clearly. I love his new hygienist, Tiffany. She was gentle, thorough and precise. She doesn't ask a million questions while you are trying to hold your mouth open. She is a great new addition to the clinic.

His hygienists are all friendly and they make teeth cleanings as quick and pleasant as possible. He always comes in at the end to check their work himself and to catch up. He really forms a relationship with his patients and he's got a great sense of humor. I trust him 100% to be honest and fair. Last year I mentioned to him that I was embarrassed by a gap between my front two teeth, and asked if he could do anything to correct it. He was able to schedule me for the following week to do a minor procedure. The whole thing took 45 minutes. At the end, I was so excited and happy with the difference, that I asked if I could have a copy of the before & after picture printed out with me. He laughed and obliged. After hearing horror stories from friends about how their dentists tried to rip them off by filling teeth or giving them unnecessary root canals, I'm so grateful to have Dr. Miller as my dentist. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He runs his business in a very kind and ethical way.
