As I've mentioned before, I like XS Cargo. It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're…read morelooking for good deals on everyday items, it never hurts to see what they have to offer. Pros: - Awesome staff - very friendly and helpful. I had to make a return on a blender I purchased (turns out the glass was cracked), which was about as pain-free a process as one could hope for. - Lots of variety and an ever-changing inventory keep things interesting. - Great deals on everything! Granted, some of the items carried are not always top-notch quality or brand-new, but I have yet to have an issue with any refurbished product I've bought thus far. - Extended warranties are available for electronics, kitchen appliances, etc. - I've never had an issue with finding a parking space. Cons: - All the XS Cargo stores I've ever been in have been neat and tidy, but this one isn't. I'm not sure if part of this has to do with the space itself (awkward layout) or the staff, but there's a lot of dusty merchandise and general disarray. Perfect for budget-conscious individuals. I hope it never goes out of business.

I can't believe that no one has reviewed this marvelous store!…read more Bay Used Books boasts over a quarter of a million used books on its sign, and there is no question that this is the truth - once you set foot in this expansive store, there will be no doubt in your mind that this place lives up to its promises. Stacks are well-organized by genre and shelves have large alphabetical tabs to ease your searches. There are, quite literally, books everywhere: under the stairs leading down to the basement, in closets, in bins, on carts, etc. Posters, CDs, DVDs, and other non-bibliographic goods can also be purchased here. The staff members are friendly, pleasant, and more than willing to help you find what you're looking for. As an added bonus, you can visit the store's website for an up-to-date list of inventory and even place holds (I believe) on items you want. Prices are very reasonable. My mother and I spent close to 2 hours browsing and enjoying the music piped throughout the store. We both found several items that we liked and were pleased to hear that Bay Used Books enjoys a good deal of business - used book stores in Nova Scotia certainly don't seem to do so, which is a dreadful shame. I will most certainly be returning to Bay Used Books if and when I return to Sudbury.

Ah, Dollarama - you have become my go-to store for just about everything. And why not? Dollarama…read morehas grown over the past few years to include just about everything you can think of, so why pay more elsewhere? Pros: - This Dollarama is quite large and the items it regularly carries are seldom out of stock. - You really CAN get just about everything here - home decor, toiletries, clothing, party items, pet products, food, school supplies, outdoor stuff, and much more. - The price, of course, is always right. Prices have risen slightly over the past few years - there are more items at $1.50, $2, etc. - but nothing is over $3. How can you go wrong with that? Better yet, if something is missing a price tag, it's automatically $1. - Like every other store in Southridge Mall, this place is never truly busy. This, of course, means that you can browse in relative peace and quiet. - Lots of parking; you won't have an issue finding a spot close to the store's entrance. - Checkout experience has always been quick. Cons: - Staff can be hit-or-miss - some are cheerful, some are sullen. Always worth the (short) trip!
