We found that Summer Studios was in the area and had different class options. We went in to check it out and get more details. David was very friendly and helped answer our questions. A date night class sounded like the best way to try it out at a reasonable price to see if we enjoyed it before signing up for a full class. On the night, we got there and the dog Sokkit was there to welcome us in. David talked us through the process and then he demonstrated the process for us, including explaining the "why" behind the steps. With that sorted, we got to get our hands muddy (covered in slippery wet clay) to throw a pot. David was watching over us and helped us with the steps as we had first-timer issues and questions. The setting was a nice way to try out pottery, and is a fun activity on a date night. We had the chance to make 3 different pots each, and they were each quite different but not too bad for a first time. David told us that for these classes, he does the work to finish off the pots (drying, trimming, firing, and glazing) and then we can come back to pick up the finished pieces. I'm quite curious how they will look when finished. Overall, very enjoyable and fun. We're probably signing up for one of the 4 or 6 week classes soon.

My son and daughter have been taking piano lessons here for nearly a year. The setup at this studio…read moreis that parents wait outside in the waiting room while the children go in with the teacher. There are cameras in the lesson rooms, but parents do not have access to them, only the business owner does. Occasionally, I would sit in with my children, but later I was asked to remain in the waiting room as the teacher felt the kids distracted each other. Recently, a very concerning incident occurred. My son told me that during his lesson, his teacher showed him an image to demonstrate "good posture." When he first described it to me, I wasn't sure what kind of picture it was, and I initially gave the teacher the benefit of the doubt. However, when I later asked Miss Lee (the owner) and the teacher to show me the same image, I was shocked to see what it was. The picture had no real connection to piano playing or posture and, in my opinion, was completely inappropriate in the given context, especially considering it was shown to my son alone in a room with his male teacher. To be clear, the photo itself was not offensive on its own. What made this troubling was the context and lack of relevance to piano instruction. I felt it crossed a boundary of professionalism. I brought this issue directly to both the owner and the teacher on Friday, August 29th, and was told that it would be reviewed with their board. I am sharing this so that other parents are fully informed about the environment and practices here. Every parent has the right to decide what they are comfortable with for their child's lessons, and for me, this situation raised serious concerns.

Nick was my son's piano instructor and he was absolutely brilliant and patient. My son has learned so much going once a week with Nick. I saw nothing but professionalism with my son. I recommend this place to all colleagues and friends with children. You can see how talented the instructors are and how well the children learn and grow from watching the performances every year. My son grew so confident thanks to Nick who encouraged him so much. As parents, you could most definitely sit-in on with your child during lessons. It's a choice you make as a parent to wait in the lobby is sit with your child. There are cameras in every classroom. It feels safe and comfortable environment. That has been my own personal experience here.

I pull something from every class I have taken. It's truly such a beautiful atmosphere, you never feel judged, you are encouraged to take risks and fail. Just like anything in life, failure is the best teacher, you must fail to learn. You must take risks to succeed. I've had the chance to learn from Charles and Genevieve; they are both so insightful and knowledgeable about the art form. They know how to pull things out of you so that you can truly be real to the scenes. They teach to any level you are, whether you are seasoned or starting out. And you never feel judged. I've had so much fun at this studio and that's what it is all about. We are there to have fun, and learn. They make the process enjoyable while also so enlightening. If you are looking for places to go, whether to deepen your already vast knowledge about acting or starting out, please believe when i say you won't be disappointed taking a class at the Aurora theater. They teach things that go far beyond acting, things you can bring into your everyday life. It is well worth it. I can go on and on, however I'll leave you with this, if you are scouring the internet researching a bunch of classes, I have been there too. Over researched, and at some point you need to just take action. I have been so thankful I took action and went to My Acting Studio. I encourage you to take action too, sign up, I promise you will be glad you

We invited about 10 of Audrey's close friends and classmates, and the kids had an amazing time together. The party started with a one-hour instructor-led art lesson, and every child got to create their own beautiful art piece to take home. This year's party theme was "K-pop Demon Hunters," and Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai did an incredible job bringing the entire theme to life. From the decorations and setup to the fun K-pop music playing in the background, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The kids were excited the moment they walked in and had so much fun the entire time! After the art lesson, we enjoyed cake time and play time, and it was so special seeing both the children and parents happily enjoying the celebration together. We are so grateful to Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai for helping us create such a beautiful memory for Audrey's 8th birthday. All of the parents kept saying how cute and creative the party was! I went to their website and registered for the June course, paid the $250 fee, and only then noticed I had been enrolled in the May session instead. I never even viewed the May option, and this all happened within two minutes. I immediately registered again this time correctly for the June course. Since it was late at night, I couldn't call right away, but I contacted the school the next day to explain the situation and request a refund for the mistaken May enrollment. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude, dismissive, and repeatedly blamed me, refusing to even hear me out. She said it's my fault and that it's none refundable and that I singed it. She made it clear that they wouldn't help. So, I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank. Then today, I received an email saying I was being refunded for the June class the one I actually wanted and was told I'm no longer welcome at their school for making a false dispute which is not true. Meanwhile, three of my friends registered with me, and after hearing about this experience, they've decided to go elsewhere. So congratulations you kept $250, but lost four students. I will be exploring legal action due to your unprofessional conduct and the clear issues with your glitchy website. Future students, do yourself a favor and find a school that actually cares.
