Bedside manner SUCKS, this was after meeting him twice before surgery, right after surgery while daddy was in recovery, and today. He is very vague about the case and didn't give any real specifics. He said not to believe what you read on the internet. Really??? We've learned more off the internet about the type of tumor it is than anything he has told us. Grade IV Glioblastoma. They said to come to the appt at 10:15, scheduled at 11:00. We went back to talk to him about 12:30. They had lost our dad's paperwork and DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS THERE even tho his name was on the list in the office. Dr. rushes through the appointment and gave no specifics on what to expect or anything. He said "we got 90% of the tumor" and we'll set up appts for chemo and radiation. Come back in 3 months for follow up. Said his assistant would answer any of our questions and he left the room. Came across as very egotistical and arrogant. Seemed as if he was just to busy to bother. Not trying to bash this Dr. This was our family's experience with him. One of the techs always says my blood pressure is 120/80. (Textbook normal) Right! And I have ocean front property here in Oklahoma to sell you too. Learn to take a proper blood pressure. Sometimes life depends upon it. It's difficult to understand a couple of the techs. I'm hard of hearing and have cognitive issues so they need to work with patients like me. Make note of it in patients charts. I'm not a fan of repeating myself every time I go to the same doctor. I've also called the office for things like changing my address or phone number. They never write it down and change it. Then I miss appointments because they're calling the wrong number. As for the doc, he's pretty cool. He was the first medical personnel to suggest speech therapy years after the shooting. My only thing with him is that he gets tunnel vision with headaches. It's difficult to talk to him about anything else because of his focus on headaches. But he is easy to talk to too.

The office is rude, their process is broken. They lied. I suggest you avoid the stress entirely and seek help somewhere else. Our referring doctor contacted another neurologist yesterday for us, they called me first thing this morning and her appointment is this coming Tues. They saw the need and the urgency and was kind and considerate. You don't have to accept this kind of bad behavior from a bad doctor. Seek help with a doctor that actually cares.
