Pain that didn't care what part of my cycle I was in. Pain that made going to the bathroom so painful. I told him I felt like all my organs were being constricted by hot barbed wire. I explained to him that I had a previous diagnosis of PCOS and have had moments of intense/excruciating pain before (when I believed a cyst was bursting) but it would pass, I had never experienced persistent pain like this before. I had been to an OBGYN that did a physical exam and said my uterus was fixed and he could feel one of my ovaries was enlarged. This OBGYN was who told me I most likely had endometriosis, but unfortunately he only did ablation-not excision surgery. I then went to a different OBGYN that was horrible! He acted like he was listening but completely dismissed everything and told me that it sounds like I just have IBS. I left that office and got to my car and cried. I immediately started looking for another doctor and that's when I found Dr. Roehl. During my appointment with Dr. Roehl he immediately validated what I had been feeling and agreed that it sounded like endometriosis. He made me feel so comfortable and answered any and all questions I had! I had my laparoscopic endometriosis excision surgery on 12/18/2025. He found stage 3 endometriosis on my ovaries, uterus, bowel and bladder. I could not recommend Dr. Roehl enough! He is so kind and knowledgeable! Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I did not receive a structured or comprehensive healing plan. Instead, I was given numerous scattered suggestions that felt overwhelming and lacked cohesion. There was also a significant error in my chart--an established diagnosis I've had for 20 years was listed as "non-diagnosed." When I brought this to Dr. Edwards' attention, his response was "that would only be on my chart if I had told them that." This felt unprofessional and dismissive. I also completed an additional test at Dr. Edwards' recommendation after being told it would provide valuable insight. When the results came back, I was told there was "little" to take from them, yet another practitioner later reviewed the same results and offered a much clearer, more actionable interpretation. I raised my concerns about the care I was receiving on two occasions. After the first time, I was scheduled for an appointment, but the outcome was again a list of many suggestions with no real plan. After voicing my concerns a second time, I was removed from the membership. Ultimately, my time and money were not well spent here. I have since found a practitioner who provides a clear, manageable healing plan and truly supportive care. Based on my experience, I would encourage those with chronic or complex health issues to seek care elsewhere if they are looking for thorough guidance, clarity, and follow-through. The level of care initially promised to me was not at all delivered and I felt more like a burden than a cared for patient.
