After hearing nothing for an entire month, I had to call the store myself just to find out what was going on. During that call, the staff seemed confused about my order. The person I spoke with apologized and acknowledged that the store had failed to send the invoice as promised. Despite their mistake and the lack of communication on their end, I was later told they would no longer work on my materials. This was completely unexpected and very disappointing, especially considering I had been patient throughout the entire process. What made the situation worse was the tone and lack of professionalism in the response I received when trying to address the issue. As a customer, I should not have to chase down basic information about an order that has been sitting with a business for a month. At this point, I have asked that my materials simply be returned in the same condition in which they were dropped off. I strongly recommend that anyone considering using this business be aware of the poor communication and lack of professionalism I experienced.

Rich (the master tailor), informed me of what kind of material I want and what stitching style is need. Second, after extensive research of the different fabric material, I was able to locate a very elegant and reasonable fabric, a referral that Rich , gave me. The design and style of fabric chosen, Rich highly approved. The turn around was very quick. Finally, once finished, Sue (in charge of dry cleaning) gave it a professional iron and steaming. I wanted both panels cut and hemmed, so that in the end I would have four panels: three 50" w x 36" l, and one 50"w x 48"l. It was a little hard for the man to get what I wanted by he seemed to. He said the cost would be $60. I said this was twice the cost of the curtains so he said $50, and if I paid cash there would be no tax. (Should have been a red flag.) I came in today to pick the curtains up; unfortunately did not check these until I got home, when I saw there were only two panels, not four. I returned to the store, thinking there would be a second hanger with my two other curtains. To make a long story short, after much discussion, with the P&J family telling me I wanted something for nothing, I wanted just to retrieve my panels to take them somewhere else, and I wanted half the cost returned, or $25. The family accused me of wanting something for nothing, I said I only wanted what was promised. I said if he didn't simply return the unfinished pieces and the $25 I would go to the police (knowing this wasn't a criminal issue) and would give an appropriate review. They called the police and I told my side of the story. They were unable to get my $25 back, only the unfinished curtains. I would be very careful about using P&J. He may be a good tailor but I think his ability to comprehend what a customer wants is impaired. PS: a woman who identified herself as his granddaughter said she was getting this all on her camera and if I posted a bad review would use it. So be it. I said I hoped she got both sides of this dispute recorded.

I would say that Armen is a funny character and also a savvy business man. I think his prices are on par with other tailors but don't hold me to that since I don't have a lot of experience. He was able to alter 2 suits and 2 gowns for me in expedited time! I didn't even know he did womens wear. My gown was sequin, and it came out great. We brought in a tuxedo bought somewhere else, and he didn't try and push a sale of one of his own. I don't want to suggest bringing in last minute work, but if you do need it - he's your guy.
