Signature Dental is definitely a 5 start facility. I'll start with my experience of stopping by to…read moreset an appointment for care. The place is very clean and updated. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. They made sure my insurance was accepted and set me an appointment on the spot. Yesterday was my first appointment. My hygienist was incredibly thorough and communicative through my X-rays and cleaning. She took her time to make sure she not only got my deep cleaning completed but provided me with very helpful information for self care and maintenance at home. My doctor was excellent as well. Again, she took her time to ensure my teeth and gums looked good and had no issues. She also suggested a more comprehensive scan to assess a wisdom tooth suggested for extraction and took the time to explain things and made sure to address any questions. My check out was friendly, professional and quick. The front desk explained they would reach out to my insurance provider to pre-authorize a procedure and set me up for my follow up appointment. The facility is beautiful, everything is so clean and updated and the technology at Signature Dental is top of the line. I was incredibly impressed with everything and everyone and glad I found Signature Dental.

Dr. Emma was professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she treated my son with such care, actually fixing his cavities, which felt like a huge win for us. After many frustrating experiences elsewhere, I can finally say we've found our dentist. Dr. Emma and Dr. Simona are highly recommended for their expertise and for genuinely caring about your teeth and your comfort.

The Bad: My dental insurance covers 2 standard cleanings per…read moreyear, x-rays, and 50% of covered services. On my first visit with Dr. Sara Helmi they setup my treatment plan which involved first of course taking care of the most pressing but expensive issues, a Crown and a deep cleaning. They grinded down my tooth so it would fit the crown and put on a temp crown while I waited for the real one to be made. They told me my insurance only covers a regular cleaning, so I had to pay the extra for the deep cleaning. I had the deep cleaning part done, but they said it was too late to do the regular cleaning so to setup another appointment. I paid for the deep cleaning and crown, over $800 for my half of the crown and the additional for the deep cleaning which insurance didn't cover. Was told the rest of the cleaning is free, as that is regular cleaning covered by my insurance. The temp crown broke within a week, but no pain so I waited it out. The new crown came in, I went in to have my cleaning and then have that put on. I get my cleaning done, hygienist does a great job. Time for the crown, A new Dentist is there Dr. Jabri. He puts on the new crown. I leave. I was told no charge, which makes sense given insurance covers 2 cleanings a year and this is my first, and I already paid for the crown. New crown wasn't on perfect, had to go back once to have it shaved down, but this isn't a big deal and not his fault at all. However the issue comes in when I start getting billed $87 for the cleaning. I have insurance, it covers 2 cleanings. I call Tru Family and I'm told it must be an insurance thing, they will reprocess. They never follow up. I get another bill, I call again, and they say insurance isn't covering it. (they had already covered half of my crown, so they are accepted I explain). I call my insurance, my insurance says they are accepted for Dr Helmi, but Dr Jabri never did what is necessary to get credentialed with them, so my cleaning isn't covered by them and that the dental office should have informed me prior to providing services. Since they switched Dr's between my temp crown and deep cleaning (without regular cleaning), and my regular cleaning and actual crown, they went from accepting my insurance, to not accepting my insurance in the middle of services being provided, and did not tell me this at any point. Now they expect me to pay for a service they had told me was covered by my insurance on my initial treatment plan and continually are billing me for it, all because they didn't have the time to complete the deep cleaning (which I paid for) on my first visit. The Good: I don't want to complain about the service, the deep cleaning was great, the cleaning itself was great, the Dr's were both kind, and hygienists all seemed nice and qualified, the crown seems to be holding up well. However the business aspect is being handled terribly, I have a right to know before service whether or not I'll have out of pocket expenses and what they'll be. I'm fairly certain this is now Illinois law for that matter. So overall I will not go back, no one wants random bills out of the blue for services that should have been covered when they agreed to have them done.

Went to get a general check up and filling routine done. Left with tooth aches and pain…read more So during the whole session, the dentist who I was never formally introduced to, was surprisingly quick. He did a "cleaning" phenomenally quick and did several fillings in less than an hour. At first, I was very skeptical when the dentist told me that he could do X amount of fillings in less than an hour, but unfortunately I decided to trust the man considering he is "the licensed dentist". Back to what happened. X-rays were taken, found out how many fillings I needed, and here came the "fun" part. First he was jabbing me with the needle of anesthesia as if he was more stabbing than gently injecting me. As he was getting ready to clean my teeth of decay and have them ready for fillings, he did not numb me correctly. I attempted to stop him several times but ignored me until I started to speak while his hands were in my mouth and his assistant told him to stop. I told him I still felt pain and all I got was a "Well you don't want to be numb all day, a little pain is no problem." If he ever says that to you if you do end up going to this joke of an office, tell him being numb is better than being in pain like I am currently several days later. After the pain came in the fillings. HE NEVER TOLD ME WHAT FILLINGS I WOULD BE GETTING!!! I was never informed of what style fillings I would be getting. Honestly, if you're reading this do yourself a favor and go to a different dentist office. After this experience I decided to make an appointment to my former dentist, who was more expensive, but way more experienced than this joke of an office. I will update this review once I see what my previous dentist says on my teeth. I really hope my teeth are not too bad. EDIT: So i went to my previous dentist. The amalgam filling put in my teeth was way over to limit of how much filling was to be put in my teeth, which caused the pain. My previous dentist shaved some of the filling down and my teeth were not hurting anymore after a few days. But the dentist at I Care Dental totally missed a cavity in the front row of my teeth. Turns out all of the fillings I had done at I Care were most likely not even needed. My previous (now back to current dentist) was actually watching the spots the fillings were made. He said that they were fine and most likely I did not even needed them done. BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!

I am beyond frustrated with this dentist. If I had to pick between going to him or not going to the dentist at all, I would much rather not go to the dentist. He did such a horrible job on my sister in laws husband he had to get the work done again. I don't know how he still has patients. Everytime I would go I would always hear the people in the next room complaining of how their bite feels different in both sides. I had the same issue too!

One of my top molars had a filling in it and I cracked it on a tortilla chip. No big deal I thought. A couple of weeks later the filling falls out, but it doesn't hurt and is only annoying, and I'm broke, so carry on. Well, well..a another week or two go by and all of a sudden it just starts killing me. It hurt so much it was incredible. I've had tattoos, broken bones, but this was a special kind of pain. It was Sunday night so I went to the ER of all things just to try to get through the night. The next morning I called Dr. Ahed's office and they said I could come in the same day! Hooray! So I went and he was very professional and nice, genuinely. It's just him and his wife there and you're in good hands with both of them. I ended up having an exposed nerve and infection. All in all I was there for 3 visits and every one was great. My first visit I was there for almost 2 hours and never felt any pain. As a matter of fact, as soon as I got there he gave me some novacaine so we could even talk about what was going on. Then he took care of the nerves and things and sent me home with meds. I came back a few days later and got the nerves filled and fitted for a crown. Then two weeks later, today, I got my crown and was in and out of there. Oh, and the FIRST DAY I WENT WAS THE ONLY DAY I NEEDED PAIN MEDICATION after he worked on me. That night, I took 2 ibuprofen before bed. The three days before that I had been taking 3 ibuprofen and 2 tylenol with codeine as often as I could without hurting myself and sipping ice water non-stop to deal with the pain. Got a root canal and it was done. Done. The guy is amazing. And a perfectionist. The good kind. When I got my crown today he checked it umpteen times and made sure I was happy happy. So here I am telling you how great he is and that you should go. Definitely go. If you have emergency pain, go to this dentist. Bottom line. Don't keep looking. Don't wonder if there's someone better, closer. Call and go and feel better now. Just calling will make you feel better. They are also very up front about pricing and options for care. Oh, and their appointments are on time. You're not sitting there waiting for an hour while other people go in. When they say be there, they mean in the chair. He's not out to swindle you. He wants you to have nice teeth and take care of them so your teeth and his good work will last. Thanks Doc!!
