Agree with the other comments. He charges a high fee for not fighting for his client, my son. Unresponsive and arrogant.

Shane Phelps Law - Attorney Shane Phelps

He has been a guiding light…read morefor my wife and I thru some of most trying times that our family and family members would have to endure. He was always honest and straight forward with his legal approach anytime we had questions, and while that honesty was sometimes painful, it was also comforting to have a clear path and clear understanding of the plan as you traveled down that path. You never want to think you will ever be in a situation of needing a criminal defense attorney, but if you do, I can whole heartedly recommend Shane and his staff for being straight forward, honest and respected in the court room.

I have a 5,000 dollar bill from them and I have no idea what I'm paying for when they did absolutely nothing to help my wife who ended up being deported. The lawyer this place gave us to represent my wife looked uncomfortable and full of anxiety whenever he was in the court room. And come to find out that details of the case were leaked to people that had no right to know anything about the case. Definitely stay away and find someone that actually cares about their clients. These people do not. I utterly, and whole heartedly regret hiring these people. Save yourself some disappointment. Yeah, Shane Phelps may have a great reputation and have connections, but I never saw him do anything worth anything in the court room. And I only him saw once in the courtroom; over a period of 8 months. Stay away if you're family is in a crisis. Not the people to help you.

The morning we showed up for mediation she hadn't even finished reading through my husbands discovery. Needless to say she did not advocate for me or my child and didn't do what was in our best interest due to her lack of knowledge and care. Every time the mediator left the room Amy would excuse herself to talk on her phone, multiple times I would have to go find her to ask her questions regarding my situation. I was in total disgust on how she conducted herself. At times she had me questioning who's side she was on his or mine. My lack of confidence in her will have me advise anyone who is considering on hiring Amy would be to save your time and money and find someone else who is more knowledgeable and compassionate. I feel like Amy and her staff failed us. Please take note I'm still married and had to hire another attorney because Amy removed herself from my case. My current attorney gives me the peace of mind and confidence Amy could not.

Previously I had also encountered a business that was wrongfully withholding donations for themselves. Rick Davis sent a letter clearly explaining the laws they had broken and if I were on the receiving end of that letter, I would have wet my pants!! This issue was also quickly resolved and the business quickly made things right. I highly recommend Rick Davis!! Even if things take time, it is done with tremendous amounts of thought, effort, and it is coming from someone who knows the law by the back of his hand. Thank you for everything y'all have done!!

Oh, where to start…read more The too long, didn't read version is that these guys are absolute rock stars. Rick Davis, Alicia Gannon and Grace Binger are the greatest! Here's the rest if you care to read on. Legal matters are stressful. Legal matters are expensive. As with most things in life, you absolutely get what you pay for. It may be really tempting to pay a small retainer to that new and inexperienced attorney. Sure, you'll save a few bucks up front. Then, you find out that opposing council consists of people like Rick Davis, Alicia Gannon and Grace Binger. Pack your bags and just cut your losses at that point. Our particular situation dealt with custody. My kids had lived with my ex and his new wife for the past 8 years give or take. One day the kids approached us and explained they'd like a change and would prefer to live with my husband and I. We presented this information to my ex as calmly as possible and hoped that given the kids' age(13 and 15), that he would respect their wishes. Given that you are reading this review for a Family Law attorney, you can guess that is not how things went. First there was mediation. My ex ate up an entire afternoon of time sitting with his arms folded. He wouldn't discuss anything and just said "no". Next came scheduling a full day in court. Opposing council came up with all these reasons they needed to delay. Their goal was to delay the hearing past the start of the school year in hopes that a judge wouldn't want to allow my children to move mid year. They wanted depositions and discovery and everything else you can imagine. Next came depositions. Mr. Davis advised me to be positive and professional...always great advice. Both Mr. Davis and opposing council questioned me for a couple of hours. Alicia also sat in on these proceedings and provided professional and personal support. My ex was also questioned by both attorneys but did not get the memo on being positive and professional. Given that we were on a timeframe, Mr. Davis decided that we should request a 2 hr block of the judge's time for a temporary orders hearing. If successful, that would allow my kids to make the move in the timeframe needed. There was very little opposing council could do to stop that. He also put in the request for time for the judge to confer with the kids. This was their request and he felt like they were old enough to have constructive input for the judge. Alicia and Grace both put in a TON of work getting ready for this. Their preparedness and hard work shined in court. The day of the temporary orders setting arrives. Remember how I said you get what you pay for? This is truly the case. Mr. Davis went to work and absolutely destroyed my obstinate ex and his inexperienced attorney. It was a comical delight to see the difference between inexperience and Mr. Davis's absolute competence in what he does. He is brilliant and the judges decision reflected that. As great a service as Mr. Davis provided, it was not just him with whom we were impressed. We spent 90% of our time working with Alicia Gannon, his Paralegal. She is awesome. We always knew EXACTLY what stage of the process we were in and were made aware of the current status. Emails were answered in near real time in exacting detail. We would call and bother her with every question we could think of and most of the time she knew off the top of her head exactly what the answer was. And this is with us as clients in parallel to all of their other clients. I really can't say enough good things about Alicia. What kind of Paralegal answers emails at 10pm at night or on weekends?!!? We would never have asked or expected that level of service...but she provided it. Truly exceptional, above and beyond. Grace Binger is another person to which we'd like to express our appreciation. She worked with Alicia behind the scenes organizing evidence and making it efficient for Mr. Davis to consume the material for presentation in court. Rick's presentation flowed absolutely seamlessly. No fumbling about...just absolute efficiency. This was also an experience that opposing council did not exhibit. Rick, Alicia and Grace are great. Not just professionally, but personally also. They aren't just about the money. They absolutely care about their clients and what happens to them. They care about YOUR problems and YOUR family. I have the greatest respect and appreciation for Rick, Alicia and Grace both as professionals and as genuinely good people. You absolutely can't do better. Rick, Alicia, Grace and staff, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Every time I contact them, I nearly almost always get a follow-up call within an hour and speak with the most polite and attentive paralegals. I have also noticed that they do things like provide free uber rides on certain holidays within the community and give checks to prize checks to deserving community members. And, while they have been unable to take on any cases due to my issues being outside of their practice areas, I was extremely pleased with the level of care I got evaluating my case. Responsiveness makes a big difference to me - other firms have often simply ignored my request if it is outside of their practice or in a few cases, hung up on me while I was still speaking. If I ever have other legal issues come up, I would choose this firm to represent me.
