Didn't call to confirm my appointment (made 3 weeks prior) and charged me $100 to cancel…read more I told them I'd forgotten about the appointment and asked why they didn't bother to confirm it. They said they don't confirm appointments. I told them it's customary to call the day before and I reminded them that they were supposed to come out to give a quote 3 weeks prior, and didn't call to cancel in advance. I'd had to call them instead, 2 hours after they were supposed to be there. I wasn't compensated for my time then, but they expect me to pay a cancellation fee for an appointment they didn't bother to confirm.

Full story: My husband hired Molly Maid of BCS to clean our house for Mother's Day! We've never had anyone professionally clean our house, and it needed a good clean desperately. They came Friday, May 10 at 1pm, and left at 4:30pm. This cleaning was $470 + tip. I walked through the doors, and I was immediately upset. I went and put my finger across the countertops, and dust and crumbs came up. There were spit up stains all over our floors still, and 2 parts of our walls in our bedroom still had dust all over the base boards. They did not touch the dining room. That's just some of it. We tried getting ahold of someone there, but they were closed for the weekend. I cried a lot Friday night, it was a lot of work to get ready for cleaners (if you have small kids, you get it). Saturday morning, we decided to make lemonade out of lemons, and we did it ourselves! We scrubbed and cleaned baseboards, windows and our shower. By Mother's Day, the house looked mostly like I wanted it to! This morning we contacted the company asking to remedy the situation since it was $470, and the work was not $470 work. We asked for a refund, hoping for even a partial one, considering that $470 is A LOT of money. We were met with them saying they could send someone out to fix it. We had already cleaned ourselves, as the whole point was to have a clean home by Mother's Day. We said we would like a refund instead. They said no, and said we could have cleaners now, or schedule a clean in the future for a discount ‍ someone working there also told us that their owner was out for the next 2 weeks. My husband showed up in person, and lo and behold the owner was IN OFFICE. All this to say, Molly Maid BCS is NOT a reputable company.
