The deceased left a very craftily worded and executed, by Mr. Lowe, a family trust whose purpose was to ease my sister's transition into a single life with her disability. I am her only sibling, only next of kin other than my children and grand children. Mr. Lowe's purpose was to make sure that her assets that were suppose to go to her side of the family were protected and executed when the time came and to administer payments from her assets to pay a costly care bill from Fox Run in Novi, MI. That's another horror story for another time. As the only brother and only next next of kin you would think I would be included in most of the activities to make sure that my sister's care is up to the standards required. There are people watching over the process but they aren't family and I do want as much say as non family. Seems like a reasonable request, right? No! When you aren't an attorney and have never been through something like this especially when the deceased family are working very hard with the help of an friend of my sister's to keep all assets still in the trust for themselves upon my sister death. Yeah, I know, you got a guy that can make this go away in a hurry to which I say bullshit. I have been through 4 attorneys and accomplished almost nothing while spending a fair amount of my retirement saving on some pretty useless work by some highly recommended attorneys. Mr. Lowe has made every effort to avoid dealing with me. He had a 10 minute meeting with me after the death of my sister's husband. At the end of the meeting, he concluded, I wasn't to be trusted and he just plain didn't like me. His words, not mine. I have over 35 years as an engineer and executive at oem's and tier 1's. I had to jump through a few hoops to get this far and the 10 minute opinion to the opposite is suspicious. Don't ja think? Mr. Lowe is not working for the people that stand to get proceeds from a trust that has anybody's name other than that of the originator and his attorney.
