The new facility is sparkling and definitely worth visiting if you haven't seen it yet and becoming a member if you swim work out regularly. We paid about $250 for the family to join for the year and the bonus is that it gives the whole family access to all Atlanta public pools. The building is very open, bright (lots of natural light come in through the glass), and beautifully built. While ATL isn't the Northeast, winter is still somewhat more of a period of hibernation for a lot of people and the opening of this center provides a very nice public option for continuing to be active. It seems like they offer a wide variety of classes and activities for kids. While I can't speak to the basketball gym, workout facilities, and indoor running track on the second floor, the pool is great. It's helped our toddler develop an appreciation for the water and we haven't even tried their infant swim program yet. Some highlights of the pool are that the water is very warm, they have a beach front walk-in, a separate family changing room, a variety of aquatic toys for kids to enjoy, and a few fun sprinkler type poles in the pool. For parents looking to entertain their kids this could be a great drop-in option too at just $5 a visit I believe. My only complaints are 1) We've waited months to get our membership cards and the machine that prints them is always down or unavailable for some reason. This is obviously not such a big deal but 2) As this "undiscovered" gem is no longer so undiscovered, we've seen more and more swimmers come to the pool and it can be difficult to find a free lane to swim in now (especially around peak hours weeknights after work). This may just be what happens as you become a victim of your own success. The pool is huge but it's unfortunate that the way they built it the lanes cannot be expanded or added easily because the free swim section has a giant physical barrier from the lanes part.

Great community asset…read more This pool is conveniently located in Washington Park only a few minutes from I 20. There are swim lessons, meets and open swimming. The staff are friendly and inside is clean. I'm taking one star off for the lack of cleanliness on the outside. There were chicken bones and food debris in the parking lot and right outside the main entrance. When I saw that I was concerned that the inside would be dirty, it was not and is much cleaner inside than some other county owned Natatoriums in the Atlanta Region. The showers have warm water and the pool is heated. The air conditioner was on in the locker room but that may be necessary to control the humidity. Overall, I'm glad this is close to where I live and that I am able to take private lessons here via All Star Swim Academy.

There is free parking in the neighborhood (the school is on Hill Street) and lap swimming is open to the public during non-school times. There are locker rooms with showers onsite. He sent me a full refund for the amount I paid back in 2023. I've seen many five star reviews elsewhere and I think he's driven to maintain that. While I appreciate the refund, the casual disregard to repair the leaks on this installation took a ton of my time, and I'm certainly out more than what I was refunded, but I have learned a lot in this 2 year long process. I'm just writing to relay my experience as to inform the next customer, not to damage a local company's reputation as that is not my intent at all. I wish them all the best- I'm sure he'd be great at a much higher price point than that of mine.

This company fails on many aspects: illegal pay practices, non-payment of lifeguard and other staff, refusal to certify their lifeguards, never have managers on staff, nobody is held accountable, and the list goes on and on. My son…read moreworked for them during 2 summers while they were contracted by Hunt Military Communities to manage pools on military installations. The hiring process was chaotic each time, with training requirements constantly changing depending on who he spoke with. He dealt with numerous employees each summer, and despite completing all requirements, his paycheck was withheld due to claims that he hadn't. It took over a month of persistent calls to get his certification properly uploaded. At the start of the 2024 season, the pool was at risk of not opening due to lifeguard certification issues. Shockingly, the company suggested forging certifications--an alarming practice, especially considering these certifications involve life-saving responsibilities. The clock-in/out app was unreliable, making it impossible to accurately track hours worked. Furthermore, USA Mgmt failed to update their insurance documentation, leading to the contract holder withholding payment, which caused the pool to close for several days. Instead of taking responsibility, USA Mgmt blamed the contract holder for non-payment, while the lifeguards, including my son, went nearly a month without pay. My son's last day of work was 7/27/24, and as of 9/4/24, he still hasn't received 2 paychecks. After repeated calls and follow-ups with a manager named Morris, I eventually sent a certified letter to their accounting dept. I was told 2.5 weeks ago that his checks were sent. When I asked when, I was not given a date and Morris blamed the USPS for checks taking a month or longer to be delivered. I was told again today they were sent and I asked when. He said today and did not have an explanation why he previously told me they were sent. This company's failure to pay minors on time, coupled with their illegal practices and indifferent attitude, is unacceptable. My son isn't the only one facing these issues--his fellow lifeguards have experienced similar frustrations. I am disgusted by their behavior and will be filing a formal complaint with the government to ensure these issues are addressed.
