Jae S., I, too had a bad experience with Ward Black Law. Mine was for a divorce. I was charged…read more$300 to make an appointment to speak with an attorney (most bill you on the day of the consultation). So I pay, speak with an attorney who writes the date on a piece of paper, then advises me that it will be another $495. Understandable. The initial $300 would go towards the total cost of the divorce. I WAS advised that there may be additional fees for serving my ex because of the different methods that may be required. I was fine with that. So the lawyer said that when I was ready to move forward with the divorce, give the paralegal, whose card was included in the packet a call; this person would handle everything. About a week later, I called Ward Black Law. The person who answered the phone was VERY courteous and professional. I was transferred to the paralegal, who didn't even know the attorney had my case, and who, also, was very RUDE. So, I tried calling the attorney and got no answer. So I figure, 'well... probably in court.' The paralegal calls my phone (I recognized the number after dialing it so many times), and when I answer, there is no response. I mean, I say 'hello' several times, and though the person is still on the line, the person doesn't answer. I, then, reached out to the person who called me that Tuesday to see if that person could help. NOPE! All I got was a 'paralegal tried contacting you several times (one breathing, no-response phone call amounts to several times); please contact the paralegal, as this is the person who handles these things. Thanks!' Never got my divorce through Ward Black Law, but on the plus side, even though I was out $300 for a lackluster consultation, I DID find a better attorney.

You will be in the know on your case and feel cared for. You should definitely give them a call and share your situation with them. They will help you figure out what options you may or may not have. This third party company has been horrific and negligent in my care since it all started. I phoned James Scott Farrin after researching worker's compensation attorneys in my area, and they have made all the difference since. The paralegal (Ciara Lambrecht) and attorney (Matt Healey) on my case have been utterly amazing to say the very least. They are extremely professional in what they do, but they also exhibit care in what you are having to endure. My injury has been excruciating and debilitating, but they have went above and beyond at every turn to help me. Workers' compensation companies are very difficult to work with, but Matt has not waivered in fighting for my medical care and rights. He has made sure they set appointments up for me; he has ensured that I was able to get into occupational therapy close to my home; he has ensured that I received workers' compensation payments so I could pay my bills while being out of work; and he is even going as far as helping me not lose my career when the third party company is trying to sabotage it. To be frank, I could write a novel on how incredible Ciara and Matt have both been throughout this entire debacle. These are the people you want to call if you have an accident at work. They truly care and will fight for your rights across the board. I am not the type of person that usually contacts attorneys when events occur. I expect my employer to have integrity and do what is right by me if an event does occur. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. In my situation, the third party company handling my employer's workers' compensation did not care how bad I was injured. They just wanted me gone, because I wasn't a person to them; I was an expense they were getting ready to pay. I would truly hate to see what would have happened if I did not have Ciara and Matt involved in this case. I can't reiterate enough how they have made all the difference.

The emails were very informative and helped with my research. A week ago, I attended a Zoom meeting that Dennis provided about Dementia and the different care options, how to navigate the Medicare/Medicaid process and how to pay for the different options. After the meeting, I called and received a free discovery call which determined if Dennis and his Elder Law Firm could help me. I also received a free Strategy Session via phone with Dennis, which lasted about 30 minutes. He was very cordial and listened with concern. I strongly suggest contacting Dennis and his office in order to preplan before your situation is too late. I feel like they could help a lot with estate planning and elder care as long as it is done long before nursing/assisted care is needed.
