I'm a teen mom of 2 kids I had my first baby girl with her I never got my question answered, now with my baby on the way I ask for a ultrasound she looked at me and roll her eyes and she said "I HAVEN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE BABY" and I just sit there quietly. I call in to the office on the 2 of diciembre of 2024 to see if my results where good to pick up a receptionist answers all I ask was "hello I'm calling to see if my results are done" she said "yes ur baby is good it's a boy" I was in completely shocked because I had my gender reveal this coming Saturday ‍‍‍I Don't recommend this place for ur pregnancy i should've learned from my first baby. read more

Extremely displeased with the lack of professionalism shown at this establishment; from the front desk staff to the "doctor". No one was on the same page, communication between the employees and the patients is nonexistent, and the "doctor" treats each of the patients as if they were a number and not a person. The unsafe conditions and unsanitary handling of bodily fluids violate some serious health codes. Not sure how or why this office is still operating. I would give this location a better rating if it weren't for my TRAUMATIZING labor experience with Dr. Evita James. I usually see the male doctor (dr. Gabriel Valverde) which is an amazing doctor and by far the kindest male doctor that I've seen. This rating is for Dr. James and it's a shame she drags her colleague and staff to such a low rating. She is soooo rough, bed side manner is terrible, she's rude and she completely ignored my cries of pain while in labor and provided NO reassurance. Here's my story: I'm not new to labor pains and giving birth to a baby with no epidural (I now have three precious babies). I was pregnant with my third baby and care was provided by Dr. Valverde. Unfortunately, the day I went into labor Dr. James was on call and she would be delivering my baby that day. I went into labor at 36 weeks, which naturally any mother would be concerned. I was admitted to the hospital at 10am and had IV on by 10:40am and was 3cm dilated, Dr. James did not show up to speak with me until 4pm. I kept asking the nurse when I would see her to ask questions and all they kept telling me was she would be there shortly (obviously stalling) and I waited what seemed like forever only for her to leave me with the same anxiety I was experiencing because of my early labor pains. She "guessed" it was because I was having sex (she did not ask if I had sex) and that's why I began having contractions. When I denied and explained to her I was not sexually active her smile disappeared and whole mood changed to what seemed as her being annoyed with me. She then walked to the computer and began typing silently. Once she was finished she walked over to the door and said we will continue to monitor the contractions and baby and would return and check on me later and walked out, leaving me no room to ask her anymore questions, at that point I knew I didn't want her to deliver my baby and felt so insecure with the care she would be able to provide for me & my baby. She didn't check my cervix at all and I believe at that point I must've still been 3-4cm dilated. Fast forward to 9:35pm, Nurses were confused as to why I was having my bloody show and my water hadn't broken yet. Dr. James didn't return to check on me until she was called by the nurses at that time. She walked in and told me she was gonna check my cervix and forcefully shoved her fingers in causing me to scream and curl in pain. She then asked for the amniotic hook to break my water and when she went to insert the hook she literally pulled me to the side with her fingers hooking on to my vagina causing me to cry in pain even more. As soon as my water broke she asked the nurses to prepare for delivery. All I saw was nurses running around in a hurry trying to set everything up. Once they removed the bottom part of the bed she instructed me to scooch all the way down & hold on to my knees and push. I thought she would pull out the leg rest but they weren't. The top of the bed was inclined down and the bottom was inclined up making it hard for me to lay back to catch a breath to push and felt like I was doing sit ups each time making it extremely uncomfortable causing my whole body to work even harder to push my baby out. Exhausted and in so much pain I kept telling her I was uncomfortable and I couldn't push I kept making a loud grunting noise she just answered by saying to to not grunt and push silently and ignoring what I had said to her. I was at the point where I was ready to give up but I said a prayer and asked God to please give me strength because I needed him because I couldn't continue.. with my whole body shaking with exhaustion I pushed as hard as I could and sure enough God heard my prayer and my baby was born at exactly 10pm. I thought at that point my pain was finally over, HAHA jokes on me! Once she handed my baby to the nurses she proceeded to the next step which was to deliver the placenta. She didn't even give my partner the chance to cut the umbilical cord. She kept trying to pull on my placenta to come out but for some reason wouldn't. She kept pulling and pressing on my stomach for 15 mins till I guess her patience ran out and yanked on the placenta causing a portion to rip inside and her having to go back in and remove that piece out with what looked like foot long clamps and at some point stuck in her whole forearm in my vagina. Once finished I guess she wanted to just be done and she stitched me up and I felt every single stitch she was putting in, screw numbing right? Anyway if you've read this far thanks so much for reading this ridiculously long review but I really wanna warn as many women as I can, pleaseee avoid seeing this doctor. Her doctors license and credentials should be revoked. I've never been treated this way by a doctor EVER! I'm afraid to even have more children because of how bad this birthing experience was with her. I never wanna go through this ever again. read more

This facility should be permanently shut down. Filthy, unprofessional, overcrowded, unorganized. When I say filthy, I mean trash was overflowing with biohazard waste materials in the examination rooms. Medical facilities should be spotless and sterile. During the delivery of health care, patients run the risk of becoming exposed to a variety of exogenous microorganisms. The doctors and owner should have their licenses revoked and disbarred. Dr Evita James used to be great but after that whole mess with her ex husband/ domestic abuse charges, she completely stopped caring and had poor bedside manner. She's rough, she jams the speculum or finger, swabs and doesn't like answering questions anymore. Time to find a new obgyn. read more

My have a schedule surgery with Dr Jovita James , my wife need a Dr letter for her job and office charge $20.00 for letters , shame on this office ,they charge insurance a lot money ,pay a copay and them get cash money for patients I never ever see a doctor office charge a $20.00 for doctor letter , the service is terrible bad , I do no Recomend this office and never ask for a doctor letter they charhe $20.00 a rate this office no ever a half stat read more

With All respect to the services she gave to patients, I was and I'm still don't understand what she did to me and my family. I appreciate the fact that she helped my wife to deliver my baby boy on November 30, 2017. However, my wife had been HIV positive and she never contacted me to discuss the way forward and I was not even notified about my wife's status until the day she was going to deliver the baby!! Dr. Evita why did you hide this from me? do you know that I attempted suicide on November 29, 2017 when I get the bad news? I'm living a life pain that could be prevented if you could just arrange for early counseling. I have been going to dr. James Evita since 2000. She delivered my first child and then my second...on and off for the last few years I've been going there I went there today and I can just say I had an amazing experience! I was told I was going to be seen by a male doctor which I had no problem with, but I got to see dr. James herself. I was very happy to see her since she brought my babies to this world she was very efficient and fast my appointment was at 1:15 I was 20 minutes early and I was done by 1:18 I'm a crazy work schedule... I had to take off a couple at work to go in and I appreciate to being able to get in and out that fast. read more

I love this dr. Office! Dr. Nwaobasi mas my OBGYN and she has kept my pretty calm and in great spirits through both of my pregnancies. Personally she was way better than dr. James in my opinion. Dr. Nwaobasi was awesome!! read more
