His team went to work with advocating on my behalf, and we were back on the books in a week. The surgery and after care have been outstanding. Very clear directions and expectations on my rehab. i had total knee replacement on my right knee with this doctor…read more he is rude and discriminates patients. i was on workman's comp at that time. i was referred to him by my attorney and he was reluctant to accept me. he was dictating to his medical assistant and when he said my age he said in front of my face "old woman". i was 63 years old. i only had the total knee replacement on my right knee. he told me the left knee will be follow whrn the left knee heals. on my third post op appointment with him i asked about total knee replacement on my left knee. when he can schedule the operation. he said me in a loud angry voice " i cannot help you anymore" and he closed my chart in the computer angrily in front of his new medical assistant. on his way out of the room, he glared at me like telling me " get out of here" i cried when he left the room because i was hurt with his attitude towards me. years past after the total lnee replacement on my right knee and i still cannot forget how this doctor discriminated me and his face still haunts me with the glare in his eyes and in an angry loud voice saying " i cannot help you anymore" closing my chart with anger. i was a patient of him in San Diego.

Paul doesnt write the reports his staff does they only address one or two things the rest write off or not allow any dictation for them. The QME / AEM report are often so simply written it's a joke. Because a non medical spc writes them they lack needed documentarion. But, because the reports are so basic most judges and insurer love it and will push to settle before all the injuries are addressed. Not to say once in a while he gets simple surgeries right if you have re-do or a complicated repair, run from this guy. I recommend UCSD ortho they are one of the best in the area and because they are a teaching hospital they dont cover bad work up they do it correctly the first time.

While hunting recently I discovered a doctor that I've previously worked with at a new clinic: Dr. Rina Jain. I made an appointment a couple of weeks out and saw her at the end of July. The office is on the second floor of 3750 Convoy and has disabled access and an elevator. The office is easy to find once you leave the elevator. I entered the office, was greeted at the front desk, and was able to do my check-in on my phone. They do have clipboards available and ready should you choose not to complete it digitally. At precisely my appointment time, Dr. Jain came and retrieved me herself from the lobby. We went to an exam room and she went through the pages of my check-in forms. We discussed the history of my injury and issue and previous injuries to the other side. She examined the injuries, sent me for X-rays, and then discussed next steps and my follow up visit. It is just a relief when you find a doctor who gives a darn! To Dr. Jain and Synergy...you are awesome!

He dismissed my MRI findings, saying he trusted his quick "hand test" over actual imaging, blamed my pain on weight, and then walked out on me while I was explaining my symptoms. After all that waiting, I left feeling blamed, unheard, and dehumanized. Patients deserve doctors who listen and follow proper procedure -- not ones who minimize pain and walk away.

They truly want to help you feel better with surgery being a last resort. They have taken me from a walker/cane to being able to walk unassisted most days. He also figured out which disc was causing my pain. I had previous steroid injections and they didn't hit the spot that needed to be hit. This doc uses the steroid epidurals to help diagnose which disc is causing the pain. That is especially important in those of us who have multiple back issues. I am so grateful to him and his entire team. They always let me know if they're running behind and I totally understand why when I realize all the homework he does before seeing you and making recommendations.
