I am so thankful to Jamaroo for so many things. First off during the pandemic and with a new baby I was afraid to do anything inside. Their park class really saved me and my son. We met other babies and moms and it changed my life. Teacher Natalie is as good as they come. She is kind, caring and makes you feel like family. My son has always loved going to her class out in the park and when he started school we were devastated to have to miss Natalie's class! Fortunately they have later times at their new studio which is beautiful and my son loves going there early to play with their toys! Singing, dancing, playing instruments and after you do arts and crafts. It's fantastic. The Jamaroo team absolutely goes above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things about them. I've been taking my 11-month old to Jamaroo's Baby Music class for a few weeks now. I was nervous signing up for a full session (8-weeks) not knowing how my baby would receive the class. I emailed Jamaroo about my hesitation and they were very responsive and understanding. They let me know I could unenroll if I decided it was not a good fit, so with that I felt comfortable pulling the trigger. Fortunately baby boy's been having a great time listening to songs, dancing, and banging on his instruments. Teacher Jamaica is lovely and puts a lot of love into each class. In terms of what else to expect - personally I was hoping to meet some other moms through the class, but that type of socialization isn't a focus (at least in my session I think the group is predominantly nannies). The only other thing I can think of that would make an already-great experience even better is more flexibility as there are no make-up classes if you miss any. I would've liked to sign baby boy up for the upcoming winter session but we'll miss so many classes because of holiday travel that it probably doesn't make sense. Overall definitely recommend! A great way to get outside in a safe space and do something during the pandemic. read more

I learned about JAMaROO through my daughter's preschool, where they run Yoga and Music classes. I signed my younger son up for their music classes at the Noe Courts park. My poor son had little exposure to music classes and other kids due to COVID-19 lockdowns, so he was nervous at first, but within a few classes he was fully into the classes, asking every day if he was going to "see Sarah Jane?". I signed up for a music class for my baby daughter and nanny to attend twice a week at Alta Plaza Park. They have so much fun and the teacher Natalie is very sweet and engaging with the kids. My toddler has been attending Jamaroo classes since she was 1. We started at Sprouts with music classes with Jamaica and now that she attends Moldovan Preschool, she gets to do Yoga with Sarah Jane and Music with Natalie. My oldest went to alllll the public library music classes as a baby and when my youngest was old enough to really enjoy a music class we were so sad to not have the option (bc covid..). We were SO happy to find JAMaROO. Their classes are outdoors, safely in a small group, and teacher Nathalie is just the best. I just finished watching a conference workshop presented by Jamaroo kids', Jamaica Stevens. She is absolutely fabulous and I wish I would've gone to her in person session at the conference in Michigan. Her personality even on a zoom conference recording was engaging for the whole hour and a half session. I want to go straight to my classroom and implement some of the wonderful music and movement activities she shared! I'm excited to check out their resources on teachers pay teachers and YouTube. I have already subscribed for future videos. I was fortunate enough to bring home one of the general books from the conference as well from another session and presenter. Kudos to you! We did the Jamaroo music class in the park and my kids loved it! Teacher Natalie is great and very engaging. Everything felt very safe from a Covid perspective... kids get their own instruments that they get to keep and bring back each week, and everyone sits spaced out in a circle, so social distancing is super easy. We've been very covid-cautious and it was really great to be able to get my kids involved in an activity again that felt safe and healthy. Would definitely recommend this class! read more

The lessons are outdoors and my baby and nanny love it. They go to the bilingual class on Big Rec Field in GGP and they have so much fun! AMAZING! We've been doing music in the park since SF allowed it with covid. My 2.5 year old is so happy to go and dances and sings the entire time. This is by far our favorite music class in the city. I have a 20 month old and I'd estimate that we've tried 90% of the music classes in SF. Teacher Jamaica is our absolute favorite. She is soooo patient and is easily able to keep a gaggle of babies and toddlers engaged for the entire class which is no small feat. (She also somehow remembers all their names) It's a great mix of classic kid songs and original songs with stories and instruments. Some other classes we've gone to expect the kids to sit still for certain parts which doesn't really work for my kid. Also, the best part is its all drop in classes, you don't have to sign up for a whole session. Oh, and there's bubbles and stamps which are my kids two favorite things in the world. read more
