Euan is a rare breed of photographer - not only is he talented as a photographer and editor (trust me, we needed the editing ;) but he is also personable. We're not actors by any stretch of the imagination, but you need to be able to pose if you want some good pictures taken. Long story short - he made the entire evening remarkably easy for us. Something our friends had warned us about was the amount of time certain photographers take to turn our pictures around. We had our pictures turned around to us in hours. Also, Euan spent no less than 6 hours with us (YES, 6 HOURS!). He drove around with us all over the city, from SOMA to Pacific Heights to the Marina and we got the best pictures taken. The best part - his prices are really affordable. All in all, I couldn't be more happy with the work that Euan did. He is a hidden gem of a photographer and I strongly recommend working with him. And, how to do it safely? That's where my hunt began for a photographer specializing in outdoor wedding photography. I come from a family of photographers, so I am super picky. I wanted edgy, creative, fun, emotionally touching, in iconic San Francisco settings. I hunted the web, trying to find the right look. Thankfully, a few of my neighbors on Next Door recommended Yves. As soon as I saw his website, I was drawn to his style. Yves's background in fine art and painting are apparent from the first shot. Iconic landmarks, excellent lighting, fun play with camera angles, cropping, and finding those little moments that others might miss. Yves met us outdoors at our home, and we were impressed with his friendliness and professionalism. He wowed us with his portfolio. We had a great dialogue about what to do, and he was great at guiding us with recommendations based on his experience. Hiring him was a no brainer. Fast forward to our photo shoot. Oy vay, what a day! It was the day after the Presidential election, and we were stressed. What an uplifting day it turned out to be. Yves met us, on time, at the Legion of Honor. He made us comfortable, helped us be ourselves, and before you know it, we were laughing and enjoying ourselves. When the sun started to go down, we went to Baker Beach, for some romantic pictures with the iconic Golden Gate Bridge behind us. You can see from our pictures how it turned out. We have so many stunning images that we absolutely love. Whether you are doing a Zoom wedding, or someday, an in person event, don't miss out on capturing the special moments that only a professional knows how to do. You'll have these images forever. If you'll be in an outdoor setting, Yves is the best person to make it great for you! The fact that Jamal was so patient and accommodating with my daughter and I while we were doing our photoshoot outdoors made me decide to give him the praise that he truly deserves. He followed us all around the Bollinger Canyon Fountain and captured all of our sweet and happy memories. He sent us our photos about a month later and I was very impressed with the results. I decided since my son was closing one chapter in his life, I wanted not only pictures of just him but I wanted to make it bigger and more memorable. I asked her if she would be able to do some family shots for us as well, his brother and him, and us all together etc... than it became bigger, I wanted to include his father, step mom and their son. I felt that this would be a great memory for my us and my son to have. So we had 4 adults 3 kids and of course we had to include the 2 dogs! We chose Sycamore Grove, and I had all these shots planned in my head.. and my expectations were blown away! Merridith did a wonderful job capturing some very special moments between our family & these memories we will have forever.. Merridith was very patient with all of us, the dogs, the different shots we tried to do, as well as the clothing changes!! She was professional and helpful, gave great suggestions and wonderful and fun to work with. When I saw all the photo's I was so blown away it was hard for my to choose a photo to send out for my sons grad announcements, as well when we planned his graduation party I decided to showcase the whole portrait session on a poster I had printed up, because I could not just choose some. Merri chose this beautiful park in Livermore right next to vineyards, open walkways, and a gorgeous historical Victorian home. Even though it felt like one of the hottest days of the year, Merri made the whole session relaxing and fun. She captured all of us at our "best" angles, and made us feel comfortable and confident. It is no easy task capturing good pictures of a one year old, but to this day they are my favorite pictures of our little man. We can't wait to book our next session adding another little one to the family. I would definitely recommend Merri to anyone.
