Went in to buy a grinder two months ago and it was an amazing experience. It's insane how much they hiked up the prices, but for the service I got it was worth it. I'm a newbie when it comes to smoking, but this guy spent almost 25 minutes walking me through everything without even trying to sell me any extra materials. He just stuck with a grinder but also talked about the basics of smoking, and I can't describe how good it felt to not be pushed to buy something like every other head store I've been to. read more

lol I'd give it a one star if my first experience wasnt fun. walked in there with two friends and the lady working upstairs is nothing but antagonistic for the less than 10 minutes we are standing and looking at the various products. i was probably about to buy a glass piece before the worker quite literally complained about doing her job. she says, "are you looking for anything or you just going to look around because I could be doing other stuff I gotta do?". so we left and I will not be buying a piece anytime soon that she is there lol. what a sorry a** woman read more

Went to psu 10 years ago and this place was awesome. Still stop in when I go back....great shop and uncle mike is the man To this kid below who broke his pipe and was mad the store didn't reimburse him that's ridiculous. that could have easily happened from a slight tap at wrong angle bc glass is fragile or it could have fallen multiple times on concrete and not broken. I went back to Jamaican Junction to ask for my receipt that i was not given. The owner proceeds to open the door. I walk in and say "Hey Im here to get" and the Owner with a lot of hostility cuts me off to say "Yeah I know why you're here, you're here to start trouble". Then tells me I was wrong for coming in, I caused a scene yesterday and he heard what was said from the cameras. This old man was full of it and mad because they sell faulty products. He give me a hand written receipt on a notecard and tells me that I'm not welcome there again. Well I hope no one else has to deal with these racist people! This place is pretty much the best headshop in the area I found so far. They got a great selection of glass bowls, bubblers and water pipes upstairs, though I have noticed some are more expensive than they are retail. I can't really complain about that seeing how I got my piece there for 20 bucks off! read more

If I could give Jamaica Junction zero stars I would. This past weekend I purchased a glass water pipe from them marked very high and other accessories totaling nearly $300.00. Less than two days later a light blanket taps the glass water pipe and knocks it over completely shattering the area where the bowl would sit. Incredibly surprised by how poor the glass quality was that it would break in such a short time and low level of force i decided to call and ask what they could do for me since I had just bought it. Lone behold the owner answers the phone (which he made sure I knew), and as I explain my problem he instantly gets defensive claiming that "he doesn't know how it broke" and "I've had $600 fuckin water pipes hit chairs and break the same way" insinuating that I should've spent more money to ensure a slight tap wouldn't break "quality" glass. After kindly explaining that I would just like to know if there's anything he can do he tells me that "I have to come in when he's there" which are all random times throughout the week. The owner of Jamaica Junction is highly unprofessional and uses harsh language to address his customers and doesn't even show any slight interest in helping them. Let alone the employees that directed the individuals that I was with into purchasing the wrong parts. Out of all the local Headshops Jamaica Junction is by far the most poorly ran and offers the least amount of customer support, knowledge, and even a genuine interest in customer care. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ITEM FROM HERE. Edit: after talking to the owner again on the review he claimed that my review was "shitty" and to not bother coming back to the store at all. This man is highly uneducated and lacks any type of business sense. Take my advice and travel the extra miles if needed to Ashworx in Lock Haven, PA or The Hip Hop Hippy Shop in Williamsport, PA where your business is valued and you're taken care of professionally. read more
