Two of the appointments were made with short notice. Perhaps it was because of this, the staff seemed incredibly disorganized and the place felt chaotic. Bottom line my cat was not really looked at throughly and by this past Saturday was extremely sick. We tried calling for help but did not get a call back. We had no choice but to take him to the ER on Tropicana in Vegas. Not only did the ER Doctor question some of the things that were done at Animal Care Center, but even one of the Doctors there at that hospital in Pahrump was questioning decisions made by her colleague. If your pet is healthy and young and just needs routine visits and blood work, you might be okay going to the Animal Care Center. However, if your pet has major health issues and needs focused and experienced vets you should probably look elsewhere. We no longer have confidence in Animal Care Center of Pahrump. They are so friendly & compassionate, and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care deeply for every animal that comes in. My puppies usually get nervous at the vet, but not here. The team goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable--gentle handling and calming voices. The facility is always clean, and the environment feels calm and professional. Whether it's a routine check-up, vaccinations, or an unexpected concern, we've always felt supported and well-informed. They take the time to explain everything in detail and never rush you through the visit. Homestead Animal Hospital has truly stepped up and become a place I trust with my fur babies. Highly recommend to any local pet parent looking for a clinic that's both caring and competent. Thank you for treating us like family! It really gives us a peace of mind knowing our babies are in capable hands.

I remember when my sister first shared Jeanette's Facebook with me and telling her "I would never buy a dog from a breeder", that was around 5 years ago. I started following Jeanette on Facebook and Instagram, I was instantly impressed with Jeanette's program. While it's hard not to pick out your puppy and having to wait until go home day it does truly help to honor the puppy along with the owner. The evaluation videos she sends a week prior are so helpful in the process, they show you the temperament and the type of puppy you can expect at 8 weeks. After 2 or 3 years of following her I put a deposit down for an F1B Standard Goldendoodle, I had an older dog and didn't want to bring a puppy in so it took me another 2 years to actually get my first dog from Jeanette which just happened on Feb 18th. Having gone through the process with Jeanette and her team I can attest to you that she is top notch and so are our dogs I had access to my own puppy page to watch the liter grow, we got to see pics and videos every few days allowing us to see them changing. I had 2nd pick and to be honest my first choice was taken by the person who had first pick, but I do feel like I have the right dog for me. Sedona Grace (AKA Gracie) has been the easiest puppy I have ever raised, she fussed for 5 minutes in the kennel the first night and potty training was so easy. Because of all the handling the team did with her she has been easy to bathe, cut her nails and most importantly to take out and socialize. I put her in a shopping cart and she could careless, she loves to meet new people and to go new places. The vet was impressed with how well mannered she was even at 8 weeks. As a family we collectively have 3 of Jeanette's dogs now, all are angels and when we are ready we will be repeat customers!! If you are on the fence or unsure of how her program works I would highly encourage you to comb through her social media and YouTube account. I

We brought our small Cavalier in to meet with her and everything seemed ok so we took the new Yorkie home. She was a delightful little dog as it came from an older person who had passed away. We were told the dog was 2 different ages because they don't seem to keep good records but that didn't matter to us. They told us she wasn't potty trained, but she absolutely was. My husband especially attached to her very quickly. About the third day, we noticed that she was being aggressive about her food which is something we can deal with. We took her to our vet and started shots for her just to make sure she was covered. She was also added to our pet insurance. We purchased her a nice harness and leash. We put her on Dr Marty's food which she went bonkers for. Right around the fifth day, we noticed that she was attacking our Cavalier. She bit her on four occasions and on the last time we decided that we could not have her beating up on our Cavi. We decided that she needed to be returned. When we arrived at the shelter, they took the dog and I asked the gentlemen at the desk to keep the money on file and we will try again with a different dog. They agreed. We also said that we would like to donate $100 towards the adoption of the Yorkie so she could find a home quickly since she was such a sweet friendly animal with humans. I spoke with Pat later on the phone and she had no issues refunding the $175 balance. That was weeks ago. No money has ever been sent to us. Our Son gifted us with another Cavalier puppy so we won't be needing another dog. I explained that to Pat and still no money has arrived. We have resigned ourselves to the fact we will never see any money. We had donated food purchased through Amazon prior to help the shelter out. We would have been continued supporters but with the refund not being returned, we have decided never to recommend or deal with this shelter ever again. This is extremely sad.

Do NOT let this vet take your pet out of your sight We…read morerequire a vet who will work with us to find affordable -- and at least moderately up-to-date -- options, but, more importantly, we require a vet who will treat our pets with kindness and respect. When our 17-year-old cat, Leroy, reached a crisis point shortly after we moved to Pahrump in August, 2013, I took him to 3 of the 4 vets in the area and found them ALL to be UNACCEPTABLE. @Nye County Veterinary Hospital: Dr. Barbara Biermeyer insisted on taking Leroy out of our sight when she treated him. We have never allowed vets to do that in the past but had forgotten WHY we didn't allow that. Dr. Biermeyer helped us remember that ALL competent vets allow you to go with your pet, any vet who doesn't is hiding something. NEVER trust a vet who insists on treating your pet out of your sight, you would be horrified to find out what they are doing behind your back. When we had to put our 17-year-old cat, Leroy, to sleep, Dr. Biermeyer, who has the worst communication skills of any vet I've ever met, told us it would be very difficult to find a vein for the lethal injection because Leroy was dehydrated and 17 years old. She explained that she would take Leroy to "the back room" to give him a sedative before she brought him back and inserted a catheter into a vein in his leg for the lethal injection. Luckily, the clinic's receptionist, a new hire, just happened to let it slip that the good doctor planned to take Leroy to "the back room" to give him an injection straight into his heart, an extremely distressing and painful procedure we had already told Dr. Biermeyer we would not allow. Dr. Biermeyer had been urging us to put Leroy down for some time, she said Leroy didn't deserve prolonged medical care because he was "just a cat." She also said there was a risk that Leroy might die while she was treating him -- in the back room, out of our sight. I hate to think what she had in mind. A great veterinarian at A Cat Hospital in Las Vegas put poor little Leroy to sleep on Nov. 21, 2013. Right in front of us the whole time, they injected a sedative into his rump, then had no problems at all finding a suitable vein in his back leg for the lethal injection. The common perception of intracardiac injections is that it is not humane, and the practice is illegal in the state of California. AVMA Guidelines on Euthanasia says, "Intracardiac injection is acceptable only when performed on heavily sedated, anesthetized, or comatose animals. It is not considered acceptable in awake animals, owing to the difficulty and unpredictability of performing the injection accurately."
