They have never stayed overnight in boarding before and my Yorkie and I had NEVER been apart before, so I was a little nervous but the staff was wonderful in answering my questions and even sent me a picture of my babies at my request. I stopped by on Tuesday because my French bull dog had a seizure/ anxiety attack to the point he is not using his back legs, he's not eating and has had any bowl movements and pees on himself. he was going into shock and this extremely rude unprofessional lady did not care or try to help or make the situation calm. my dog was going into shock on the floor at this veterinary clinic and she had the nerve to tell me to go get wet napkins myself. not only that I brought in all paper work of my dogs history since we are new clients and she did not bother to even take a look, check us in or add us in the system for future appts. All his records were clear as day on the paper and she didn't want to look at them but had the nerve to tell me with an attitude that my dogs meds are not on the paper and she don't know what she's looking at. If she would've got up off her butt and moved her fingers to look she'd see It on the front page clear as day. I went in an as an emergency and had the worse experience I made that very clear to her. She also tried to intimidate me by staring at me like I was suppose to be scared so I stared right back at her cause wtf is that in a place of business!!!!There was also another older lady as well with glasses that did absolutely nothing to calm the situation down then had the nerve to ask the ride lady sitting on the chair is she was okay. And here's a kicker the extremely rude lady has the audacity to tell me to go to vegas cause their busy. first that is a hour & 30 min drive my dog is going into shock he would've never made it and it's 105 outside are you freaking kidding me! My daughter has resued and adopted quite a few animals in Pahrump and this vet helps with the rescues! She spoke very highly of her. When I called I spoke with Amber who told me they were closed due to construction, and that there would be a line that forms probably as early as 9:30 AM on Sunday. I could be an urgent cate walk-in. My husband and I got here at 9:30 a.m. and we were second in line, shortly after, the line just kept building until there were 11 people waiting outside! We were finally seen at 11:30 a.m. by Dr. Mathe. It only took a few minutes to confirm the ear infection and get her meds. I'm sure it was the swimming that caused this ear infection, it's hard to keep her out of our pool! The staff were all very friendly. The office was a zoo all morning! If you haven't been here before, make sure to bring your shot records, they require them before the Dr. will see your animal. I had to run back home for her records. They are closed Wed., Thurs., & Fri. They are closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.

We adopted a tiny Yorkshire Terrier. We brought our small Cavalier in to meet with her and everything seemed ok so we took the new Yorkie home. She was a delightful little dog as it came from an older person who had passed away. We were told the dog was 2 different ages because they don't seem to keep good records but that didn't matter to us. They told us she wasn't potty trained, but she absolutely was. My husband especially attached to her very quickly. About the third day, we noticed that she was being aggressive about her food which is something we can deal with. We took her to our vet and started shots for her just to make sure she was covered. She was also added to our pet insurance. We purchased her a nice harness and leash. We put her on Dr Marty's food which she went bonkers for. Right around the fifth day, we noticed that she was attacking our Cavalier. She bit her on four occasions and on the last time we decided that we could not have her beating up on our Cavi. We decided that she needed to be returned. When we arrived at the shelter, they took the dog and I asked the gentlemen at the desk to keep the money on file and we will try again with a different dog. They agreed. We also said that we would like to donate $100 towards the adoption of the Yorkie so she could find a home quickly since she was such a sweet friendly animal with humans. I spoke with Pat later on the phone and she had no issues refunding the $175 balance. That was weeks ago. No money has ever been sent to us. Our Son gifted us with another Cavalier puppy so we won't be needing another dog. I explained that to Pat and still no money has arrived. We have resigned ourselves to the fact we will never see any money. We had donated food purchased through Amazon prior to help the shelter out. We would have been continued supporters but with the refund not being returned, we have decided never to recommend or deal with this shelter ever again. This is extremely sad.

My dog also had what looked like an ear infection going on, but upon closer examination, it looked like he might have just been nipped in the ear by one of the other dogs. So I got some ear wash and drops to clean it ip and make sure it heals o.k. I would recommend giving this veterinarian a try if you are looking for a vet in Pahrump. They don't offer payment plans, but you can use a credit card, and she mentioned something about a care plan that is offered through a 3rd party. I use Lemonade Insurance for my pets, & I have been really happy with the plan I have for two pets.

If your pet is healthy and young and just needs routine visits and blood work, you might be okay going to the Animal Care Center.
