I was able to come in, show the owner some previous framings I had done, and she made the aesthetic of her piece look aligned with my previous pieces that I had done elsewhere. I visited again less than a week ago with a photo that I had found on the internet showing the kind of style I was looking for. We picked out the ideal frame and the mat and talked about the layout. Today I picked up my custom frame job and it's PERFECT. PERFECT! The owner of this store is friendly, professional, and she does great work. It's worth the price. Take your money here and support a local business instead of going to a corporate chain for your framings. Whenever I need anything framed - this is where I will go! We brought in a project, an antique hassock that a friend had gifted us with a storied past: it was purchased by her late father-in-law when he was stationed in post-war Morocco. The bottom of the hassock (calfskin?) was worn, and the ancient cotton batting was falling out. ABZ to the rescue. They stitched on a full-coverage patch that should last another 70 years, and blended in the stitching to make sure that the original craftsmanship wasn't obscured in the slightest. From drop off to pickup was less than a week, and their call to let us know that it was complete was a complete and pleasant surprise. Pricing? Horribly reasonable for custom work. It looks like they do both furniture and a lot of boat upholstery, too. If you have a project in the Triangle, I'd call them first. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The screw they used didn't "bite" so it doesn't hold the two wood bits together, the screw cover dowels are unfinished wood that doesn't match the chair finish, and the one over the loose screw doesn't fit and keeps falling out. We told him we knew the exact size and we're looking for an idea on cost. The employee stated he could not give us a price unless we had the artwork bc the art could be made of different materials. We tried to tell him it's photo paper and nothing special but he just seemed like no was his final answer. Poor customer service, all we wanted was to explore the options of a nice frame for a recently deceased dog.
