One that knew her stuff and was interested in the back story. One that was open minded enough to discuss the situation with the patient, but guided by her expertise. I'm glad I found Dr. Auletta. I'll spare the details of the circumstances that lead me to this doctor, but I had called over twenty other offices that day looking for a doctor who would treat my wife for something that seemed like too stable of an issue for an emergency room but too time sensitive of an issue to visit doctor after doctor looking for a decent one where we had moved. She was off duty - it was her day off, but she answered the phone and discussed the issue, calming me down and getting us in the office at the first chance. We've been seeing her for years and have both moved in different directions, much to far to visit her office, but every time I am rushed through a doctor's office who tells me their computer system is down so they don't know my medical history, but that they don't want to hear about it because they're too busy to listen to the patient, I think of how much I would love to move back to where Dr. Auletta could be counted on and had a doctor-patient relationship with us. I see a review complaining about if her secretary could understand English or was aware of some vaccination, and I can't help but think that person missed the point. How many doctors have you been to that take the time to discuss how you've been feeling and then work through the issues, step by step, rather than just writing you a script and pushing you out the door? And how many times have you talked to "the girl on the phone" and had it lead to an answer from a doctor, and not just some guessed nonsense the secretary made up to get you off the phone and in the office for another co-pay? It is true that the office isn't the pretties building in the classiest looking place, but hip decor and upscale office buildings will never cure your illness and may show that a doctor is willing to focus on those things to draw you in, rather than trying to draw you in by being a good doctor.

I had to sit and wait 2 hours to even see the doctor (that is WITH an appointment). When I finally see the doctor, she was rude and condescending and would try to talk over you and interrupt you and not listen to what you are trying to say. After that, she was rude, and extremely stubborn when discussing the insurance company and how payments would be handled - and when on the phone with my insurance provider, she was rude to the insurance provider as well. After that, when I went to go fill my prescription at CVS... there was a hold on my medicine because the insurance company needed paperwork from the Doctor before they would release it for me to pick it up. There was paperwork that this doctor had to fill out and send in to the insurance company for me to be able to receive my medication. I called the doctor, and she said it would take a minimum of 24 hours. I said okay no problem. Here it is a week later, and I still do not have my medication. We have been calling back and fourth from the doctors office to the insurance provider - and the doctors office keeps hanging up on us, refuses to listen to good orderly direction when WE and the insurance provider AS WELL as the pharmacy has told and explained to them WHAT TO DO... They refuse to offer any customer service PERIOD. It has been a complete nightmare dealing with this service. Dr. Mona Doshi and her secretary are both EXTREMELY rude and what they are doing is gross negligence. I am reporting the doctor to the NJ board of medical examiners. I am also reporting the practice to nj consumer affairs. It was a nightmare experience, and for all of you out there. I truly hope that you can avoid this doctor, and I truly hope that this review will help steer you away from these people. Go to a real doctor and get the help you need. I've been using YDC for routine physicals and random ailments for many years. My experience has…read morebeen average waiting (10-15 mins) and average experience with nursing staff (getting weighed, taking blood pressure, asking general health questions to complete computer input), then being told the Doctor will be with me shortly. I then wait about 10 minutes for the Doctor to enter the exam room. I find this standard. When seen by the Doctor (Landesman) he makes time for my questions. I don't feel rushed, but I do understand the office is busy so I don't expect him to sit and chat. I'm able to get appointments rather quickly when needed, rather than waiting weeks, and if one Doctor is not available I've seen others (Smith) and been satisfied. Its a primary care facility and I see specialists if ever needed, through recommendation. I feel it is an experience I expect in a primary care office, not sub par, yet not the country spend all day with you environment that I read some others may expect. I know why I go and I leave with an answer I understand or a treatment that addresses the medical condition. It's all I can ask for and provides flexibility with my schedule.

Moved from Doctor patient interaction to Doctor literally reading questions from computer to speed up visits. Doctor must be attentive to computer interview process in order to complete it, and that takes more than half of the time you are assigned in the for-profit model. It feels as if the computer gets more attention than patient now. The speed of visits is rapid. It's the Jiffy Lube model of medical care. Don't get comfortable seated on exam table, you won't be there long. If you have questions, have them prepared and be able to speak fast. I do believe some the Doctors MUST fit the model (ordered to do so), as my Doctor definitely has appeared to "adjust to it" when they were MUCH more interpersonal, when patient doctor care was interpersonal.
