Women's shoes are on the main level when you enter and men's & children's shoes are on the upper level, along with the clearance section. Just ride the escalator up. There are not a lot of floor sales associates around, so you're mostly on your own to try on anything you like. I got a great pair of Skechers casual slip-ons for work. I never liked Skechers at other stores before because they never had the right size or were a bad fit, but I was surprised when DSW had my size & width. This pair is a perfect fit and gives a bouncy spring to my step! My wife went bananas and bought 3 pairs of casual sneakers in both canvas and leather, plus a pair of winter boots, since they were BOGO 1/2 off. At the register, the associate offered us shoe treatment on the boots to coat with stain-resistant/waterproofing for $8.99, but also gave us a discount on the boots that covered the treatment. She stuck the boots in a machine and was done in a few seconds. That was some good service!

FF is located in a very busy shopping center. It's an easy in and out and could be a little challenging at times to get a parking spot. Have patience, it will happen. When we walked in I was fortunate enough to find Jamie who helped me find everything I came in here for. I thought it was going to be simple... LOL. All I needed were sneakers and sandals. It took a while since they have over one million pairs of everything here. (OK, maybe a little exaggerated.) I wanted very specific sneakers and sandals and happily I had Jamie working with me to make that happen. When you go to place with such a large selection you know it's going to be a challenge. Patience, my friends, patience. They probably have what your looking for and if you take your time... you'll find it.

I mean, he even followed me all the way to the door as I was exiting the store. I felt so uncomfortable being followed by this man, that I left without purchasing what I came there for. This is the second time that I had this type of experience at this location. The first time was a few years ago, and it was even worse than this experience. During my visit, I wasn't the only customer in the store, but I was the only customer that looked like me and that was being followed. So, If you look like me, or if you care about these type of things happening to people, you shouldn't shop here. And, quite frankly, they don't seem to want people who look like me shopping there anyway.

A.J. was assisting and found in Deer Park items that while different seemed to be ok. Thing is Sketcher had made a medium , wide and extra wide width. And for some reason the wide width doesn't exhaust anymore. The extra wide was purchased but really is too big as the shoe is a light weight sneaker style and even though it has laces it can not be made tighter. So we are not really happy with it. The next issue is (look under Tips) is that we have a rewards sign up and there was a 5 dollar reward available. But there were a few things I had not done - gone to the site add it on the card and then bring the phone to scan it. I happened to forget my phone that one day. So, how do I get the 5 dollars? Bring the shoes and boxes back with the receipt (don't forget the phone) refund it all. Add the 5 dollar coupon re-ring it up and be on ones way. OH wait!! It was easier to go to Levittown with Rich the manager who oked it after I spoke with him via the phone, But- why the the amount different? The tax in Nassau is more than Suffolk county. So I pay something like 60 cents more. Was the whole thing worth the effort- I guess. Would I do it again? Naah.
