A True Miracle: Out of a Wheelchair and Pain-Free After Decades…read moreIf you have ever suffered a severe physical injury, or watched a loved one go through it, you know the despair of thinking, "This is just what I have to deal with now." You accept the daily, grueling pain and prepare to just get used to it. I am writing this to offer you real, tangible hope. For two decades, my son lived with severe, unrelenting daily and nighttime pain from a complex traumatic injury to his foot and ankle. Multiple doctors told us the exact same thing: nothing could be done. We were stuck in a hopeless situation; ultimately we always had a wheelchair ready for the days that just became too much or he used a scooter around his house. Then we found Dr. Eric Ferkel. From our very first visit, everything changed. Dr. Ferkel examined my son thoroughly, ordered precise scans, asked deep questions, and acted with the absolute authority and expertise you expect from a legendary name in orthopedics. He mapped out exactly what was wrong and created an aggressive, precise "plan of attack" to completely rebuild my son's foot and ankle. Going into such a complicated surgery, our goals were modest. We hoped for some decent function and the basic ability to walk. After twenty years of interrupted sleep and constant agony, we fully expected there would still be daily pain. We couldn't have imagined what was actually possible. Today, we are just four months post-surgery from a total ankle and foot rebuild, and we are witnessing a miracle. My son recently woke up after a night of deep, completely uninterrupted sleep--his first night without pain waking him in decades. Just yesterday, I watched him walk down 11 steps, completely light on his feet, not even having to consciously think about his foot or ankle. Dr. Eric Ferkel didn't just perform a successful surgery; he gave my son his life, his mobility, and his future back. If you have been told your orthopedic situation is hopeless, do not give up until you see Dr. Ferkel. He gave our family a miracle.

I went to the doctors from Workman's comp. They did one surgery to tighten the muscles and reconstruct some that were torn. After 2 surgeries, and no positive results. I asked for a second opinion. Dr. Ferkel was enthusiastic and explained to me with the skeleton in front to make sure that is working. Last year in March 2024 I had the surgery. In the beginning I used crotches, then I graduated to a knee rover and lastly I can now walk using bth feet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I can tell you unequivocally, Dr. Nevo is the most caring, kind, personable, and understanding doctors that I've ever seen. He has gone out of his way to learn about conditions that I have that he wasn't up-to-date on, so that he could treat me more effectively and unlike many doctors he is not only willing to admit if he doesn't know something, but he is willing to do the work to learn if it's within his scope of support. If something isn't within his scope of support, he is always happy and eager to offer a referral. Because of all my medical conditions and doctors appointments and treatments, I have CPTSD and one of the most amazing things about Dr. Nevo is that he not only treats your body, but also your mind. He understands how intricately linked physical pain and your mental state can be. Finding a doctor that takes into consideration and understands the mental turmoil that pain causes and how it relates to the physical aspect of things is very, very rare indeed. Because of my myriad health conditions, I know that I am not seeing Dr. Nevo for any sort of "cure" however I can tell you that he has provided me with a sense of medical security, peace of mind that I am in good hands and the knowledge that he will do everything in his power to help me find any sort of relief. I guess the long and short of it is, I can't recommend Dr. Nevo highly enough.

Prior to…read moreseeing Dr. Nevo I was experiencing a lot of back pain and my sciatica flare ups were affecting my daily life. I was feeling anxious and unhopeful and just trying to get through the day. It was a constant nightmare. I dreaded going to sleep knowing that in the middle of the night my flare ups would begin and I would get no sleep. Since I have met Dr. Nevo, for the first time in my life I feel hopeful. I've seen doctors in the past since my accident from June of 2024 and not one doctor that I have met has made me feel taken care of. Not only am I feeling better due to the treatment I am receiving but I love that Dr. Nevo is so empathetic and supportive. He's never in a rush to get through the appointment and he addresses all your concerns. The one time I started to not feel well again due to the medication not working and he heard of my pain, he immediately scheduled an appointment over the phone to discuss what was going on. Never in my life has a doctor done that. What I'm experiencing is an up and down hill battle - and of course there are days I may have a little discomfort due to my condition but what I can say is that I can finally sleep - I do feel well rested. I feel hopeful and most of all I feel taken care of and I know that if we hit a wall, we will attack it and he will drop anything to make sure that I am ok and that I am feeling better. I know that, that is something that can or may happen and that is one of the reasons I don't experience the anxiety I was experiencing prior to meeting Dr. Nevo. He's got you. His goal overall is to make you feel better. It's hard to find a great doctor and you have to go through many to finally find the one, the one who will make a difference in your mental and physical health. If you are considering Dr. Nevo, look no further. Just go. Thank You Dr. Nevo for everything you have done for me. And Madison, who I believe is his assistant, is very communicative and friendly. Any message I've had to give to Dr. Nevo, she relays to him. Her responses are quick and is reliable. Thank You both so much!

Upon arrival, after they were finally pleased with all my signatures and disclosures, 10 minutes passes while he's standing outside door loudly socializing with his assistants about his internet purchases. When he finally walks in and I ask him if he's going to buy the shoes, he gives me a snotty "I don't know, maybe". Contemptuous glare, zero apology. He then went on to behave like a slovenly teenager, angry that I had to nerve to point out I was running late. He made it exceedingly clear that he could care less about helping my painful medical situation and even interrupted the consultation to argue with me about how he had a right to be late & that I should go elsewhere. Arrogant, rude, disrespectful & made us miss the deadline for funding our Spacex ipo.

She's incredible as well but her specialty is with knee injuries, not shoulder. After my shoulder injury, I tried extensive physical therapy. PT went on for 6 months, but unfortunately the pain was still there. Per my doctor, an injury like mine needed surgery, it won't heal otherwise. I didn't want the tears to get worse, so I looked into getting surgery. I was hesitant at first, but Dr. Guanche quickly calmed my nerves and discussed all my worries away.
