The doctor came in shortly after getting my vitals. The appointment lasted for about 15 minutes to establish me being a new patient. There are multiple locations around central Indiana, and many of the staff bop from one office to another. I typically schedule my routine well-woman visits with Adrienne Hoagland, who is a nurse practitioner with this practice and is the literal best. Her attitude toward everything is very matter-of-fact and positive, and she always puts me at ease. I've been seeing her for many years, so she knows my history and remembers things that I've told her at past visits. I am not in the market for an obstetrician anymore (thank goodness), but for all of my gyno needs, this will be my go-to practice.

She is super sweet. She took her time at my appointment, asked me what my questions and concerns were and she was very knowledgeable. So my first appointment was my yearly exam and I decided to book a separate appointment to check on hormone levels. I signed a release for a functional medical place to release my records to her and she listened to my concerns and then offered advice. This practice has aesthetics, hormone testing, regular OB/GYN services, and perimenopause and menopause appointments. I've only been twice, but I really have loved Dr. Hahn.

She ordered bloodwork that I had completed there and then scheduled a follow up appointment. At the follow up, we discussed steps for moving forward. All of a sudden I find out that they're closing. Now I invested time and money into this new clinic and they haven't helped me whatsoever. In fact today I received an invoice for the portion beyond my insurance for the appointments (bloodwork was already paid). I believe at the time they took me on as a new client, they completely knew they were closing, but still needed me to pay their bills. I believe this was a scam, it's unethical, and simply bait and switch. Now I'm being taken advantage of because they're struggling financially. Not ok.

This is an independent practice where the medical staff is focused on you, the patient, rather than bureaucracy. I've had several in office procedures which Dr. Davidson might have done in another facility but kindly opted to perform in office to be conscious of my budget and health care coverage at the time. These procedures have always gone very well, I felt well supported during my aftercare and all issues were thoroughly explained throughout my care. Dr. Davidson and her staff take impressively extensive notes at each visit and clearly review them before you return so that they are able to ask relevant questions about your life, family, career, etc. I've read other reviews regarding the front desk staff being curt - this has never been an issue for me. I hopefully say that I see my own attitude reflected in the service I receive from Ms M but whether or not this is the case, I have always received kind, empathetic and good humored care throughout this office. It's patient care worth waiting for, without question.

One thing that I really appreciated was that she did an ultrasound prior to placement to make sure the sizing is right as a nulliparous female (not many offices do that!) Yearlies are a breeze- their office always makes notes of not only medical concerns but also just your social life in general so that when you visit in 12 months they can actually remember details about you! I love Dr.Davidson's bedside manner, though it is rather quirky/loud/friendly she makes it very easy to feel comfortable. Now the Cons: There is alllways a long wait at her office. I'm normally there for 2 hrs for a 20 minutes chat the her (yes she actually is in the room for 20 minutes!) Also her front receptionist ranges from outright rude to mildly irritated.

I've reached out to the Case manager whom my mother receives information from made me feel like I was less than a human being because I have behavioral health issues yet kind of joked about it. I called (like I said earlier) to coordinate my mother's Dr appointment upon her discharge day. Aside from the case manager treating me bad I called to confirm my mother's must make appointment and someone answered. I expressed my concern and was put on hold. I wasn't put on hold and I hear EVERYTHING the nurse or whomever say terrible things about me and she figured out that the phone was not on the hanger yet she hung up without acknowledging I heard every word and just hung up. I called back and there was no answer. The care. I'll give a 5 just because my mother has been treated right. But as far as giving information and being polite to family members whom has loved 1s in the facility and showing respect. Just from my experience. They get a ZERO in my book. I initially had an OB that I did not click with and decided to change to Dr. Colvin half-way through my first pregnancy. Can I tell you that she is the most amazing woman EVER! When you are opening other people up into a vulnerable space, like pregnancy, you want to be sure that you are taken care of and that's what she does. Dr. Colvin is so knowledgeable and she feels more like a friend than a doctor. She was there for me throughout both of my high risk pregnancies!!! She made sure I was on track and encouraged me every step of the way. Every time I had an appointment, she would let me know that I was doing a great job! I hope to have every pregnancy with her (don't tell my husband I said that, he wants to be done having kids but with an OB like Dr. Colvin, you kinda want a reason to keep going back, lol). Lastly, the ladies in the office are amazing! They are kind and they make sure you have everything taken care of. Dr. Soper was recommended by 3 Bradley instructors that I spoke with. My husband and I had a pretty extensive birth plan, (no IV, no pain meds, no oxytocin, etc, etc.) and she honored all of our requests. When I was in the labor tub, she sat in the dim room reading a book. She gave us our time to labor and she stepped up when needed. She is a no nonsense kind of lady so I found her appointments to be a little fast. (Which I thought was a good thing,) I just made sure to have all of my questions written down so I didn't forget to ask. Her nurse Sandy is also great. It is also great to know that she attends 95% of all of her births. I really hate the way group practices just send whoever is on call. (and when I had my first son, it happened to be the doc I liked the least.) If I decide to have any more children I will most definitely go to Dr. Soper!

We actually sat down in her office and had a lengthy conversation about my health -- I have never had any other doctor actually take that much time to get to know me as a person and patient. As with any good doctor, it can be a bit difficult to get an appointment scheduled promptly, so you'll want to call one-three months in advance. I would recommend Dr. Soper to any woman in Indianapolis who needs to find a reliable OB/GYN in Indianapolis. The drive out to West 38th Street is worth it -- Dr. Soper has years of experience and a wonderful bedside manner!
