I chanced upon Rosana when I was helping a friend on the Big Island. My friend was due at any time and Rosanna not only squeezed me in but unbeknownst to me, came in on her day off to do my hair. I love stylists who can create and do something fun and beautiful. A random stranger complimented my hair afterwards that day and said how it reminded him of Pele and the volcanos. It reminds me of the Hawaiian sunsets. Other than the grays that have grown in, the colors have faded to a very nice caramel highlight throughout, and I haven't found someone that could follow Rosana's beautiful creation so I've only touched up the roots. Although she is currently an apprentice, the service and end result are far from amateur! She took time to understand what I wanted and was always communicative while working on my hair. I used to go to chain shops but I've had my fair share of bad cuts. This is the first salon in Kona I've gone to that isn't a Supercuts/Mastercuts/etc etc. And I'm so glad I did! The staff was so friendly and upbeat. You could tell they bonded well together like a family.
