She not only did a fantastic job with the extensions, she answered all my questions and helped my hair go from short, brittle, and dry, to healthy, long and shiny. I no longer need the extensions and my hair has never been healthier. The experience when you go to see Leeanne is not only enlightening when it comes to products and hair health, it's relaxing and comfortable as well. I've attached a before and after picture showing the difference LeeAnn made in my hair in less than a year! I highly recommend and trust Leeanne!

I had an amazing haircut with her last week…read more She was thorough in the intake process and talked through a few inspiration photos I had to really understand what style I was going for and looked carefully at my hair texture before snipping an inch. Then she did a scalp massage that is to die for with aromatherapy. So relaxing!! Once she started cutting she checked in throughout to spot check and ensure the length was right and the look was on the right track. Then, a blow out and some detailing of the cut once my hair was dry, then a perfect beach wavy styling after that. I was so pleased with the cut that I asked her to send over some notes to show to my regular stylist in LA that he can reference for my next cut. :) On top of her skills Leanne is professional and comfortable to be around and you can tell she takes such pride in her work and cares about people. I am thrilled with my new cut and with the entire experience with Leanne - thank you!!

I chanced upon Rosana when I was helping a friend on the Big Island. My friend was due at any time and Rosanna not only squeezed me in but unbeknownst to me, came in on her day off to do my hair. I love stylists who can create and do something fun and beautiful. A random stranger complimented my hair afterwards that day and said how it reminded him of Pele and the volcanos. It reminds me of the Hawaiian sunsets. Other than the grays that have grown in, the colors have faded to a very nice caramel highlight throughout, and I haven't found someone that could follow Rosana's beautiful creation so I've only touched up the roots. The last photo is what it looks like now, over 6 months later. I wish she was near to create something magical for my Burning Man look although she did send me a few ideas.

When I booked a vacation to Kona, I decided to make an appointment with my long stylist. She took my hair from drab to fab! She has such a good vibe and I was so happy to be back in her chair! To say she is an extremely talented and gifted hair artist, and true master of her craft, is an understatement. If I could afford to fly there every 8 weeks for a hair appointment, no joke I would do it. If you want the best hair on the big island, I highly recommend going to see this beautiful soul.

Although she is currently an apprentice, the service and end result are far from amateur! She took time to understand what I wanted and was always communicative while working on my hair. I used to go to chain shops but I've had my fair share of bad cuts. This is the first salon in Kona I've gone to that isn't a Supercuts/Mastercuts/etc etc. And I'm so glad I did! The staff was so friendly and upbeat. You could tell they bonded well together like a family. It was such a nice environment to be in (which I think is important, especially if you're going in for a 4+ hr long hair appointment). As an apprentice, I was told by Mariah that the appointment would take a bit longer than other stylists, which is totally understandable. Plus, a free haircut and half-off color treatment is a STEAL in my opinion. Thanks, Josie's! I will definitely be returning.
