I've been getting my hair done by Randee for 5+ years. As a born and raised local girl, it look me a minute to find a stylist that I could vibe with! Randee is not only talented and delivers every single time she does my hair...but she is also such a cool human being. I always leave feeling like I got more than a hair cut or root dye. She's personable, fun and just an amazing person to spend your day with! I always leave feeling my best! Beauty is from the inside out and Randee always hits that mark! I recommend her to all of my clients, friends, family and visitors of the island for the best in your hair experience and just spending time with a salon filled with talented, kind and fun wāhine read more

Super skilled and professional! Worth every penny! I thought I wanted low lights but nope! I left it to the professionals and they were right on the money! I needed highlights to bring out the darker color I already had! Way to blend in my gray hairs! Here's looking at 49 and a half. Yay! read more

Randy and her team are absolutely amazing! I was in town for a party and couldn't find any salon that could take me for a flat iron hair style without an appointment. Thankfully, Salon Muse was able to accommodate me during a gap in their schedule, even though they typically operate by appointment only due to scheduling constraints. A special thank you to Jen and the entire team at Salon Muse for making it happen -- your flexibility and hospitality are truly appreciated! read more

I have been dying to go blonde again after living here for three years. I contacted at Salon Muse Beth after seeing her work, and she listened to exactly what I wanted and implemented it perfectly. If you want to go blonde she knows what she's doing, highly recommend her. Edit to add- everyone was wearing masks and face shields in the salon. Customers leave their masks on for the entire appt, even during washes. No one was allowed inside without a mask, all COVID rules were followed. read more

This is not a high end salon noise levels are Extremely high. No Waiting Area to sit until it's time for your appointment and no purse hooks to hang your hand bags on the Restroom is acrylic the parking lot from the salon too. I Strongly suggest that you Not Have Chelsea Malley as your stylist . She always runs late, doesn't listen to clients requests and Talks constantly about pain medication that she is taking. I ended up with green ashy hair for my Birthday. Very Disappointed. Over $340.00 to have my hair ruined read more

Thank you Beth! Got a brown and caramel balayage and it looks AMAZING!!!! She went over everything she was doing and went over what I was looking for. My hair was all kinds of messed up, from quarantine, having a baby, coloring and cutting it myself 6 months ago. It was a hot mess. Thanks for making me feel, me again. And working with my husbands crazy work schedule, getting me in on a day that worked for me. HIGHLY read more

I've said it before and I'll say it again --I don't want anyone besides Chelsea (or anyone at Salon Muse) to do my hair. I went to Chelsea after an ombré / balayage gone wrong a few weeks prior. My hair had turned strawberry blonde and looked like it had highlights in it. I was devastated. Chelsea not only managed to turn it back to the dirty blonde to icy white blonde at the tips -- the ombré I had originally hoped for -- but she did it with such kindness and skill and reassurance. The whole salon is full of great people who really care and are exceptionally talented. 11/10 will go again. read more

My hair is very difficult to highlight, color & cut. Randee & Megan both have done my hair for the last 3 years. I have never left the shop disappointed or questioning whether or not I liked my hair color or cut. My hair is always beautiful!!!! I am thankful Randee figured out the perfect mixture for my difficult hair. Megan was also my daughter Whitney's personal hair and makeup concierge at her wedding. Megan ended up doing my daughter's hair twice because of the rain. Both hair-dew styles were knockouts. Megan also styled my hair & applied makeup for my granddaughter Charlie & I. To Perfection! Jen has done my hair once and she rocked it also! Thank you friends for your special talents and kindness! I also love your location. Very convenient! read more

It had been over a year since my last hair cut. My hair was long, split ends, and needed lots of attention. Most places in Kona are completely booked and hardly any are answering the phone. Salon Muse took my info and called me a couple days later to squeeze me in before the end of the day. The salon is beautiful and in a good central location on Lunapule. Megan was so sweet and gave me a beautiful haircut. I highly recommend Salon Muse and Megan! Thanks! read more

MUSE is the obvious #1 salon on the big island, and probably all of the islands combined for good reason. Professional & well educated staff, very trend & fashion forward with styling & it's just a rad little salon! Randee Jennings, the owner has been my hairstylists for actual decades!! She is the coolest chic! I would never trust anyone else with my cut & color. Although her whole staff turns out great work, if ya can't get in with her. Highly recommend Muse. Also, they carry R&Co hair care line.. which is the absolute best & pretty hard to find. Check em out! read more

I got a beautiful haircut and hair color from Suzie today. She's not only an amazing hair stylist but also super nice and happy person to get to know. I enjoyed getting a cut from her. She's busy so wait time for appointment is a bit long but she's so worth the wait! Muse is very conscious about COVID-19 procedure, inside the salon is very clean and they disinfect chairs etc thoroughly. read more

So, I recently went to a new stylist that was recommended to me and to call it a disaster would be a compliment. I lost several inches and was left with a jagged uneven style from all the breakage. I won't even go into the color since I'm waiting for my hair to get a boy healthier before tackling that mess. Anyway, I found Salon Muse on Yelp and based on all the positive reviews I decided to give them a call. Suzanne, the stylist that answered, listened to my dilemma and was very sweet and helpful. I was able to get in with Beth, lucky for me she had a cancellation, and am very happy with the outcome. She really took the time to listen me and what I wanted. I ended up with a cute pixie style cut that should grown out to what I wanted before my hair was so damaged. Thank you Beth and Suzanne, I will definitely be back! read more

Chelsea is not only an amazing stylist but appts with her are a great experience. I can go several months between appts because it grows out so naturally. Every stylist in there is amazing at what they do, and it is a cute little place that feels like friends from the moment you sit down. Grab an amazing coffee and pastry at Tealicious just a couple steps across while you are processing. The owner Randee keeps a clean, fresh, hip space down to the decor. They offer chilled bevvies and have a killer slew of products that actually work! The whole shopping center has a boutique kina vibe which is so hawaii. The complex bathrooms are even cute and clean. Do yourself a favor and make an appt here, it is worth the wait. read more

Randee cuts my (short) hair on a regular basis. She always does a great job! I don't think you will be disappointed at this salon.

I went in to get my hair cut short and the stylist gave me a bad cut. She left it much longer and bulkier than I wanted. When I told her I wanted it shorter, she convinced me to wait until the next time I came in so that I wouldn't regret going too short all at once. She totally gaslit me, and now I'm stuck with a $70 haircut that I hate. read more

Randee and her stylists are the most friendly, welcoming staff a client can ask for. My stylist left the island and I was in need of finding someone new which is always scary. After doing a lot of Internet research and social media stalking, I finally decided to call this salon because it looked like a fun and chill environment and everybody seemed to leave with such beautiful hair. They got me in pretty quickly and informed me that I would be working with the lovely and inimitable, Megan. First off, this girl is drop dead gorgeous and she is a total sweetheart to boot. I had such a fun time at the salon and felt like I was in fantastic hands. She was so communicative, helpful and talented and I left with hair that I absolutely loved and I'm still loving. My favorite part about getting a good haircut and color is watching the grow-out and loving the process as it evolves... and that's exactly what is happening! I can't wait to go back! read more

Great salon. Love the vibe. I've been getting my hair done here for a couple of years now by Beth, every other month. My cut and color is consistently good. Have had my hair done by Susie too in the past and she's great as well. Would highly recommend. read more

My daughter, Madison, has had THE BEST looking haircuts and blonde balayage over the last two years, so I asked her to refer me to her Stylist. As a Senior, I was a bit hesitant to go during Covid, but DARN - my hair REALLY needed attention! During my appointment, 'our' (!) Stylist, Beth, was masked/shielded (which immediately put me at ease!)... plus, Salon Muse has a great, cheerful vibe. Beth listened to me and asked pertinent questions before starting her magic. The result? My hair, and her hair artistry, are fantastic! Mahalo, Beth, for your professionalism, and for taking me on as a client! read more

I had an amazing experience with Suzi at Salon Muse! This lady knows what she's doing with hair and the teal colored peek-a-boos throughout my curly locks look awesome! If you're looking for the best hair colorist on Big Island, look no further than Randee Jennings and Salon Muse. After a hair disaster at another salon, it was well worth the wait to sit down with such a professional, capable, and confident stylist as Randee Jennings. I have been going to Suzi for, wel,l I've lost count of how many years. I love her dearly as a friend now and for her prowess as a stylist she is amazing. She has turned my hair from bleached white blond to a hair of many colors softening my look. She has been with me through short to long hair and in between and all have styles have looked fantastic. So happy to have found Suzi. I followed her to Salon Muse from another salon and I would follow her anywhere to keep my hair looking great! read more

Randee has been my stylist for years. I cannot say enough about how much I love her and her adorable salon. She's the bomb and puts up with all of my hair shenanigans with style and grace. I would never, ever go to another salon. Salon Muse is the most chill, creative and magical salon in all of Kona (and this is coming from someone who has spent decades working in the luxury spa industry). My two daughters see Beth and she is so patient and kind with them. They spend hours stalking youtube videos and looking at Pinterest for hair inspo but are always the most impressed by Beth's work. I have even trusted her to do both of my high-maintenance kids' first hair cuts and she does NOT disappoint. We've put our trust in this salon to keep us all safe throughout COVID and I think they've done an absolutely amazing job! read more

If you're a mom and need to take 1-2 hours off to treat yo'self, come to Salon Muse. As a mother of 3 boys, I know how hard it is to find a hair stylist that understands my thick, coarse Asian hair, is reasonably priced and can hone and enhance my natural beauty while keeping my cut stylish and practical for everyday life. I've been going to Randee for almost 4 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else! The salon is a super chill, beautiful and clean. It's a great space where women can come chat, laugh at life and feel beautiful after. Love it! read more

I've had the privilege of having Randee as a Stylist since she graduated from Cosmetology School. Since that time my styles have run the Gamut, from pixie, to A- line, Bobs and Lobs and everything in between. Always with a " who does your hair" result. As you can imagine my hair has been every color as well. She always takes the time to listen and give me exactly what I ask for.
