I love Sally Beauty for a lot of reasons. First being that I am a nail polish addict, and Sally…read morecarries A LOT of nail polish. They have salon quality brands (China Glaze, OPI, Finger Paints, Orly...) and the prices are better than your typical salon purchase, often with sales available. Aside from all the special nail art affects you can achieve with all the polishes offered, they have recently started carrying a huge assortment of gel polishes. I am also a fan of their line of Nina polishes. These polishes have a wide brush, making the manicure super fast and many fingers just need one brush stroke (the polish goes on nice and evenly too). I also tend to buy my hair products here. Again their are carrying salon quality brands at much lower prices. I like to go in an browse the sales, but generally I prefer their Biotera collection, which is their play on the Biolage brand. I often find liters of Biotera to be BOGO and end up with a liter of shampoo and conditioner for less than $20. I will also say that I find the ingredients in Biotera to be friendlier to my hair than those in Biolage, so it seems in this case I prefer the "generic" brand. Speaking of pricing Sally Beauty is full of deals to be had. It's important to become a member here. It costs $5 a year, and upon signing up you will receive a $5 off coupon. Also depending on the time of year you often are able to pick a product from a given selection for free when you activate your membership (last time I got a great detangler). Being a member enables you to pay the "member price" listed on the tag which is usually about $1 cheaper. As you can see, with all these perks, the membership pays for itself almost immediately. I am especially a fan of this Sally Beauty location. I have had issues with the staff at other locations, but here they are always friendly, the lines are never long, and they are helpful in making recommendations. The man who run me up last time was able to make a few recommendations to me based on the products I was purchasing, and did so in a very no pressure manner. He was also careful to make sure I got all the discounts I was due, and I ended up getting a few months worth of hair supplies for only $20. Make sure you peruse the back of the store as well, there is often a rack with redline markdowns.
