It's a cozy and very colorful place, with wonderful aromas and old world charm. The service is, well, decidedly European - you can't be in a rush when you get here, and being all "American" about it won't get your food on the table any faster. I've been living in Spain for eight years now and I find table service to be quite a bit slower than in the US. Our waitress (let's call her "Duck" - because it seemed like she had a bit too much filler in her lips) took our order... and then completely disappeared. We received neither water nor drinks from her. I had to ask other staff members to bring anything to our table at all. When placing our order, we specifically asked for all the dishes to be served together. About half an hour later, food began arriving - but only for half the table. The other half was still waiting. Those who got their food first had finished eating while the rest were still empty-handed. During all this time, the waitress never once came to check on our table. Eventually, annoyed, I asked another waitress to find out what was happening with the rest of our order. It turned out that, at that exact moment, "Duck" was heading out for her break. She didn't approach us, didn't apologize - just waved to the other waitress and went off into town. When we asked for the manager, we were told... there simply wasn't one.
