Great authentic Bavarian food and music and on one occasion even some farmer Olympic games. A very welcoming family atmosphere including Barney, one of the friendliest dog is you'll ever meet. The restaurant is very close to the water and has indoor and outdoor seating that is covered and a great menu filled with great German dishes. There are also several chalk boards with the specials of the day. I don't think you could go wrong with any choice on the menu! My dish was amazing! I had two potato pancakes with a sausage on top, meat underneath with sauerkraut underneath that and some gravy on top! Gravy makes everything better and this dish was so flavorful I would order it again any day. My husband got pork with a potato dumpling that was topped with gravy and his was equally delicious, I have a feeling everything there is great! They do have a dinner menu that starts at 5 that has some awesome choices and the dessert was great as well. The service was great, they were very nice and made sure we enjoyed the food and had everything we needed through the whole meal. If we visit the area again we'll definitely be back!

Service is nice and friendly and you can get here by car or walk up the hill slightly from the main train station on the way to Neureuth. I have walked by here many times but never stepped in and I am glad we finally did. Well worth a detour while in Tegernsee.
