If you really need help, do not go here. They don't do anything beyond showing you an exercise and you're left to your own for most of the "treatment" sessions. Huge waste of money. The actual PT sits and watches her staff like it's a club. Most of my sessions were with an intern who didn't do anything but slather goo on my shoulder. This place shouldn't be licensed. read more

I highly recommend Carlito as a PT at JAGOne Fitness. Before I went there, I had been having bad lower back pain, which started during the pandemic. I went to a chiropractor for a few months, which would help temporarily, but wasn't making the problem go away. I had to go a lot and it was expensive. I decided to go to an orthopedist and he said it was common problem and prescribed 2 months of PT. When I first went to PT I was in a lot of pain when walking and sometimes even sitting down. I had spasms usually at night. I went to PT for 3 months and I've improved so much! I feel so much better and I no longer have to worry about a long day of walking. Carlito is so nice and you can tell very dedicated to his work and patients. Everyone that works there, including the front desk and other trainers and PTs, are so nice and positive. I'll preface everything I'm going to write with the fact that I have experience in the medical field, a minor in Bio, and I completed 2 years of a Rn program. That being said this was also my second surgery on the same knee. My first experience with physical therapy had no benefits at all whatsoever. When I went in on Monday to schedule my initial appointment, the receptionist said she wasnt going to be able to get me in for another 10 days. Mark ( the physical therapist) overheard and came over to introduce himself. He very nicely introduced himself, and took a look at my paperwork. Being that I was 3 days post OP, he graciously squeezed me in this week. I came in today for my first appointment, and was greeted and brought in very quickly. Mark started the process, asked all relevant questions, and got to work right away. I was not the only patient there, but he spent equal time with everyone and actively participated in everyone's progress. I overheard some conversation, and he seemed to be very knowledgeable and used correct medical terminology. There was a lot of conversation, and I was extremely pleased with his bedside manner, expertise, knowledge, and clinical application. I would HIGHLY reccomend Mark for all physical therapy needs. I messed up my shoulder playing tennis (dislocated) and came here on someone else's recommendation. It did not disappoint. Jules was my mf girl and was great in helping me get full range of motion back. But it wasn't only her. Kev, Denise and the entire gang was great and pleasant every day. Even though my appointments were at the crack of dawn, i never dreaded coming in. My experience with Jag One was pretty great. Mark and Adam were the two who worked with me the most on my feet which definitely have held lasting results. My last PT visit was mid May and now being about mid June I've experienced hardly any discomfort. Mark was very personal and discussed my injury in depth from his concerns to how he and his staff planned on treating my injury and what to do to further assist myself with personal care utilizing at home exercises. Adam was very attentive and assisted me with several exercises which he critiqued posture and form to make sure I fully benefitted from each one. Aside from them being very knowledgeable and helpful on their craft they were really friendly and great at conversations which made each visit pleasent and enjoyable. Im happy to have been recommended Jag One as it has benefitted me going back to work with JCPD since being on my feet is vital. In closing I recommend Jag One and if I were to ever need PT again I would definitely consider coming back. read more

I was excited to schedule my appointment with JAG-ONE after reading such great reviews for a few of their locations on Yelp (I would have been a first-time patient). My frustration started when I couldn't get a hold of anyone at either Jersey City location. I've been calling for a week since Monday and even left a number on the corporate voicemail - the voicemail is one of the options you're given after it rings awhile and nobody picks up. I had even been trying to call the main contact info number listed on their website (201)-801-7141. Finally this morning, after still not getting my calls answered by both Jersey City locations, I called the main contact info number listed on their website (201)-801-7141, and ended up pressing the option to be transferred to HR. The woman was a little helpful. She put me on hold and tried calling both Jersey City locations herself and emailed the office manager for the Marin Blvd location. The town square place location answered her call and the one I preferred (Marin Blvd) did not. She took my email because I pushed to get a call back about what was going on with the Marin Blvd location. After our call, since she got through to Town Square Place, I decide to call. Initially, there was confusion with whoever answered the phone because apparently even though I had called the town square place location, the call had gone through to Marin Blvd (and I find it interesting that they finally answered the phone after HR sent an email to their manager). The woman I spoke to on the phone was not helpful at all. It was like pulling teeth. She was very short with her answers, did not share helpful info until I kept pushing and asking follow-up questions. EX: I wanted basic info about insurance. She said they don't verify insurance/can't give that info until you arrive at your location. After I kept pushing for info, she told me what the out-of-pocket cost is for each session if it's not covered by your deductible..every other PT business I've called in the area not only 1) answers their phones, 2) are incredibly helpful with insurance questions and 3) have also offered quick 20 min drop-in screenings to check out their location and discuss what PT would look like for my injury PRIOR to getting the first actual appointment scheduled. Per the incompetent woman, she said they don't offer that. Ultimately, I decided not to schedule a first-time appointment with them. I could have forgiven them for not answering the phones, but it was the call with the front desk woman that made me decide not to proceed. If it's this hard to even make the appointment and get information, what is the actual experience going to be like? I am so disappointment. read more

My experience with JAG-ONE on Marin in downtown Jersey City was amazing. I came in after suffering from a months-long, nagging hamstring strain. Sean was quick to diagnose, and we immediately got to work on a program that worked well for me and my work/life schedule. Along with Adam, Sienna, and the rest of the staff, Sean had me on a solid, twice a week regiment where the injury was worked on in a variety of ways: heat, ice, stretching, strength training, balance, and more. After 6 weeks, I felt like my injury had made a full recovery. I can't thank the team enough for giving me my strength back; now I can jog, run, and sprint with no pain. Jag Physical Therapy in Jersey City is the best PT experience I have ever had. I was suffering from muscle/nerve pain of which traditional doctors, chiropractors and acupuncturists couldn't resolve, I wish I would have gone to Jag sooner! JAG-ONE Physical Therapy in Jersey City gives a superior level of care. I was treated for bursitis in both hips. My physical therapist, Mark, was kind, understanding and most importantly competent. The rest of the staff is also fantastic. It's a very welcoming and positive place. Mark reviewed my records carefully, asked a lot of questions and then took me through a full set of exercises that were to help reduce pain, swelling, stiffness, and weakness. On each visit, I was monitored to ensure the exercises were performed properly. I was also given instructions for additional care and exercise at home. I saw improvement after the first visit! I highly recommend JAG-ONE. I went for six weeks because of rotator cuff problems. I started with a fair amount of pain and limitations to the use of my arm, and I left completely recovered. A torn ankle ligament took me to JAG-ONE's Downtown Jersey City location in July 2019. Though it took nearly 3 months for me to heal (partly because I was traveling for a portion of this time period), I was very happy with the team here. Mark, Adam and Brandon in particular are sticklers about form while exercising, which most certainly aided the recovery process. As an added bonus, the whole crew is very friendly and makes an effort to provide a pleasant and relaxed backdrop to the PT process (the awesome music selection doesn't hurt either). The only thing that caught me off guard was the time I spent here - I was initially told my appointments would range anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours, but often ended up staying well into the 2-hour mark, which could be a bit of a struggle on days I needed to rush back to work. Overall, though, I would highly recommend this place, the team and the experience. I just went to my first dance class in a long time and am happy to recover I was pain-free! What separated Mark as a PT from all the other PT's I have been treated by is that he took my complex case, admitted he wasn't able to properly start a treatment plan from day 1, took the time to consult my referring physician on what to do, and then scheduled a future appointment to begin rehab when he felt confident enough to oversee it. This is what I feel many PT's are lacking, which is honesty. I don't need someone telling me I'm going to get better when the true presentation doesn't point to that. Mark took my case, and told me straight up from day one what his expectations are of my recovery, and what I should be expecting from it. That made me believe in the rehab program that much more, and made me that much more excited to come to rehab at JAG-ONE. It also wasn't just Mark, it was the whole team as well, who were very attentive to all of the exercises I was doing. Jag-One is Jersey City is best PT I have ever been to. Mark got an amazing team who cares about you. Adam and Brandon are the excellent when it comes to correcting the pose and keep you going. Everyone is very friendly, know what they are doing and fun to work with. They won't rush you to get you out which has really helped me to finish all my exercise before I step out. Even when they are super busy you don't feel that you are rushed or neglected. I am seeing great results and improvement with my knee since I have joined this PT. I have been to multiple PT prior to this, just didn't feel like they cared and personally didn't feel my knee pain will ever go away. With Mark's team, I am optimistic I will get better.
