I logged on today to…read moreleave a review of this law firm, and it turns out my experience mirrors that of another reviewer (Nate S) nearly word for word. I worked with Daniel Findling for 4 months during which time he did not much more than bill me for mistake after mistake (including drawing up a primary parenting time and child support document that had my name and my spouses name wrong, the incorrect name for my spouse, an incorrect ATTORNEY for my spouse, and even more egregiously, had me listed as the defendant when I was, in fact, the Plantiff and Daniel's client. Since properly and professionally terminating my relationship with Daniel Findling's office I have made repeated (5+) attempts to contact the office including both by phone and email. I have had ZERO response; ZERO acknowledgement that they have received my emails or my voicemails. I submitted a formal complaint to the BBB and the conducted their own attempts at contact as per BBB procedure. They too received zero contact, zero response, zero acknowledgement. Mr. Findling should lose his law license, but in the meantime, protect yourself and absolutely do NOT use this firm.

He was referred to me by my divorce attorney, He was…read moresupposed to be her replacement because she had to go on maternity leave. I have evidence and proof he did not do much work at all. He was not even prepared for a passport motion I had in court. He did not email the referee anything before our court day to show proof that the other party in the case was lying. He read the email late to the referee while we were in court and didn't send anything before hand. Also he was on the call 1.5 hours early when our zoom call was at 10:30am he got on the call at 9am and I have proof. He did not even know the time of our zoom motion. Who get on a zoom 1.5 hour early. No one . And he charged me for that time. I felt he did not care about me. He was charging me for things he did not do and I have proof. Bad decision. Big mistake. I did not feel comfortable working with him. When I called his phone went straight to voice mail. He did not make me feel comfortable and safe and when he saw my review he threatened to sue me. Be careful everyone he may do the same with you. He could have called me nicely and talk to me about the review but instead he went straight to suing me for money I have never seen in my entire life. I am an instacart shopper and barely pay my bills and now he is trying to scare me by sending this email to me. This shows you want kind of person he is. Instead of him talking with me he goes straight to suing me for money I don't have any most likely will never have. This email was uncalled for. A simple conversation and Understanding of where I was coming from could have taken the review off yelp but instead I am editing it to be more clear about where I was coming from. I paid hIm $1500 up front that I had to borrow from a friend and family member and I have a balance of $2700 with him. I have proof that some of the itemized billing he charged me for he did not do the work. I am not lying and this is the complete truth and I'm sure he knows this is the truth. Now he is trying to scare me and sue me for $500,000. Seriously he goes this far because of a review no one as even seen yet. Wow hopefully people with see the review I just posted because everything I'm saying is the truth and he knows it's the truth and I have evidence and proof he did not do some of the work he claims he did. I'm not lying.

There was no contract - I paid with cash. The case ended up requiring a follow-up court date - since there was no contract, he charged me the same fee as the first time. He didn't obtain any of the police records. He didn't perform any background searches on my opponent. My opponent's attorney arrived prepared with these documents. When I asked him why he hadn't done any of this - he told me that he was trying to help me save money. He told me I would need to provide any such documents to him. I had to pay to have these things done on my own time and bring the documents to him for our follow-up court date. I overheard my opponent and her attorney discussing their previous meetings and expected questions. He never prepared me for any line of questioning (him or opposing counsel). Afterwards, I asked him if we could meet before the second court date and he replied 'Sure. Call my office and schedule the appointment.' I'm happy that I won - but I am unhappy with the service I received. Additionally, I regret that I went into this without a contract. Once a follow-up date was deemed necessary, I felt very vulnerable regarding what he would charge me and I was afraid to consider another attorney for the follow-up. I learned a tough lesson. Ultimately, I am happy that it was a victory - but if I should ever need an attorney again - I would look elsewhere.
