We hadn't planned to go here, it was a whim in advance of a night out in Carlow town. Tullow is a small town with a population around 4,000 with a long history.
The first choice of Chinese was closed and it looked like it had been abandoned a long time ago so this place was open and just a few hundred yards down the street.
The server was friendly, the menu was extensive, the food was very tasty and it was served up quite quickly.
We got three meals so they gave us pre cooked, free prawn crackers but sadly they were the cheaper ones which was disappointing particularly as the better quality ones aren't much more expensive to buy wholesale. I had a pretty decent king prawn salted chilli with a delicious and perfectly cooked boiled rice.
It used to be that take-away Chinese food was much more expensive in the Irish Republic than Northern Ireland but there has been several price increases in Northern Ireland that closes the gap but that said I would caution that this is a place that has seen better days and the prices may be a reflection of the decline in the area. read more
