In the center of the Riveria Maya Vidanta Resort is the Jade Boutique. Here you can buy basically everything you need. On the main floor they have a jewelry store, a cafe/bakery, a mini grocery store and a place where you can get muffins/mini cakes, gelato, frappes, etc. Three of the restaurants of the resort are located on the second floor: Gong, Tramonto, & The Wine Bar.
The Jade is conveniently located near the main pool, so guest can stop in often whenever the need strikes. As to be expected with any resort, you pay for convenience. The majority of items are double to triple the cost of local stores. For me the price/value factor for convenience was not worth it, so we only bought a few items including a large jug of water and some food from the bakery. For the essentials we opted to explore the nearby cities and get supplies. For those who are cost conscious, I'd recommend taking a trip to Playa del Carmen or Puerto Morales and stocking up on groceries, household items, etc. If price is not a concern and you'd prefer to stay on the resort then you're only option for shopping will be to visit the Jade boutique often to get what you need.
The location is well maintained and they have staff constantly working to keep this place spotless. There is a small indoor seating area inside. If those tables are full, there is a large sitting/lounge area behind the boutique where guests can eat and/or relax. read more
