Excellent ophthalmologist - I had cataract surgery on both eyes and the end results have been excellent. Highly recommend.

So my experience with Dr. Lisker has been far from routine. I first went to see Dr. Lisker after I…read moreforgot to put safety glasses on while grinding some metal and a shard flew into my eye. my eye was irritated, but I thought that was it, by that evening I was in pain. I found Dr. Lisker through my insurance and booked an appointment for the next day. Dr. Lisker is very friendly and makes you feel at ease, she found the metal, removed it, gave me some medication and asked me to book a follow-up. Everything went smoothly in the follow up and I did not return for about two years. I only returned because I was having trouble with my eyes, on the return visit I was diagnosed with cataracts in each eye. Being only 34 at the time I was having a hard time processing the information, especially since I had never had any medical problems with my eyes before. Dr. Lisker was happy to answer questions, provide information and in general make me feel at ease about things. She has since removed the cataracts from one eye and we are scheduled for surgery on the other eye. Dr. Lisker has been very accomodating of my needs and desires throughout the process and is completely honest about the procedures, the options, what she will and will not do and why she will or will not do those things. When we began discussing Inter Ocular Lenses (IOL) and I mentioned multifocal lenses, she explained why she will not work with those types of lenses, the risks involved and politely offered to refer me to someone that will do that if it is what I wanted, and I do mean she was very polite about it. After having all the information I agreed with her assessment and stuck with a traditional IOL. A few things to note that seem to come up in other reviews. Dr. Lisker does seem to run behind schedule. I do not believe she runs any further behind than many other docters and I am willing to accept this for the quality of service I receive. I have never had any problems with the front desk staff, they are always friendly and willing to answer questions in person or one the phone. As I have moved I am still driving over an hour to see Dr. Lisker, which should speak to the confidence I have with her abilities. When it comes to my eyes I am far more concerned about the quality of service I receive than the timliness. I would not be happy with long waits, but I do appreciate the fact she takes time to talk to me about what is going on, answer my questions and provide information without rushing me out the door so she can keep a tight schedule.

Quite possibly the worst eye doctor ever. Rude, condescending, and poor diagnosis and treatment…read morealmost cost me my vision in one eye. Dr. Milani is all about the money. She has no assistants and does everything herself, except for her receptionist. I had to ask her three times if she wanted to hear my acute symptoms. Her response each time was "just let me do my examination". She was not interested in my eye history. She criticized by primary physician as well as the specialist that she demanded I see, loudly telling me that HE IS WRONG and she is correct. She told me my eye problems were my fault as I didn't obey her. There is much more, but this should give a good example. She said I would have an eye stroke and go blind if I didn't obey her. I changed to another physician in another city, who examined my eyes yesterday and pronounced them perfect. While I do have a tendency to eye issues that occur every few years, I in no way have the issue Dr. Milani diagnosed. My biggest problems with my vision occurred AFTER her treatment. If continued, I would likely have been seeing her on a regular basis and been a nice income for her. I recommend an office with technicians, checks and balances for a better experience. I'm not sure how Dr. Milani was rated a Top Doc, because she is not.

Thankfully, the discoloration - which I've had for decades - was considered to be nothing by Dr. Rostami. However, I didn't appreciate having to wait for an hour for this brief consult. Nor did I appreciate the doctor trying to upsell me by telling me I have rosacea because my skin on my nose and cheek is little red sometimes. I was told I owed nothing, but now am being charged for the visit. All in all, not a good experience.

Skin laxity under and over the eyes and some fine lines here and there! Well I'm glad I did. I am 7 days out and I'm here to say it's not as bad as you think after watching all those YouTube videos. Dr Rostami, Alyssa and staff made me very comfortable during the entire process. Local numbing and an oral pain killer and we were ready to rock and roll. The entire process was fast and while I will say there were a few areas that were more uncomfortable than others, but it is tolerable!! I went home and followed all of the (provided) skin care routine and one week out it's looking pretty darn good. I'm not red like you see in those videos and most parts of my treated areas have gone from a sandpaper feel to nice and soft. I can't speak to the results as it is too soon but I can speak to the fear of getting it done. I cannot wait to see the results! And my research tells me the results will just keep getting better over time. I will update.

Decided to give it a try because everyone has different experiences. Overall, I would say that my family had a great experience with our eye exams, very thorough and efficient. I would rate the doctor as 5 star. The front desk people are not great and maybe I just also had bad luck with them. Our first time as a family here and found that I had to make call multiple times to get a call back, they do not respond to text message (though they direct you to use text) and seemed unfamiliar with insurance/unwilling to figure it out. Therefore, it was fine overall - we got what we needed in the end, but will probably would not go back.

Avoid this Optometrist. Dr. Kim-Eye Institute of Reston…read more I had an extremely frustrating experience with Dr. Kim at Eye Institute of Reston, VA, and would not recommend them to anyone looking for quality eye care. From the start, my eye exam felt rushed. When I struggled to see the letters clearly, the doctor switched to shapes instead of taking the time to ensure an accurate prescription. After the exam, she had me try on the prescribed contact lenses, but I couldn't see well with them. Instead of adjusting the prescription, she decided to keep it the same as what I walked in with. Another challenge was the eye machine used for the exam--it kept fogging up, and the doctor repeatedly wiped it off with a cloth. This happened during both of my visits. I asked about it the second time, and she told me to try breathing through my nose. I also inquired as to whether warm temperature in the office could be causing the fogging, and she responded, "I guess." The equipment looked more like a temporary plastic station rather than high-tech machinery, and I've never had this issue at other optometrist offices. When I picked up my glasses, I immediately noticed something was off, almost like a smudge. I voiced my concerns, but was advised to try them for a couple of weeks. After struggling with them, I returned for another exam, but the doctor still couldn't get my prescription right. At that point, she mentioned cataracts, which had never been brought up before, and referred me to a specialist. When I asked to return the glasses since I couldn't see properly, I was told they have a no-return policy, even though they failed to provide me with functional eyewear. I left messages requesting a resolution, but no one ever called me back. I spent a significant amount of money on glasses that I cannot use, and the lack of professionalism and care at this office is unacceptable. If you value your vision and customer service, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.
