I apologize for…read morethe long review but want other parents to be warned and understand our experience so that they can make an informed decision about where they send their children, especially infants. While our son only attended the school for a total of 8 hours, it has been nothing but less than favorable interactions from the initial drop off. When my husband and I arrived to drop our son off, the assistant director was on what sounded like a personal telephone call discussing another parent complaining about her. After waiting there for 5 minutes, she got off the phone, and did not know who we were or why we were there. We explained it was our son's first day and we were there to drop off. She walked us to our son's classroom where we met his teacher. Walking into the room, there was a single teacher getting bottles ready while 5 infants sat on the other side of the gate area, several of which were whining/crying. Most of the lights were off and the room is crowded and dark. The teacher said hello to me and my husband and asked me about our son's feeding/sleeping routine. We asked if we could help set him up in the room, which they allowed. At no point during this interaction did anyone say hello or welcome our son. We ultimately left him in the room playing with toys while the teacher continued to get the other children their food. Not once did we see her, or anyone, acknowledge our son before leaving. It was so discomforting that both my husband and I considered walking back into the room and taking our son home right then. I reported this to the director that morning around 10:00am. She apologized for the experience, explained it was an off morning and that she would talk with the assistant director as well as the teacher. When we picked up our son at 11:30am, he was exhausted, and had clearly been crying a lot. Upon our son's return to school, the second drop off was better. The following week, our son attended his third and final day at school. When I returned to pick up my son, the school director, Michelle, was also in the room and the teacher was holding my son sleeping. They informed me that my son had hurt himself while crawling, resulting in a bloody lip and scratched nose. On my car ride home, I called the school and asked to speak with Michelle director about what had occurred so that I could understand better. Beth, the assistant director, explained that Michelle was on a tour so I asked that she give me a call back after the tour. After two days and five telephone calls/voicemails, I finally was able to get in touch with the school director. At no point did anyone return my phone call or call to see why my son was absent after an incident at the school. The incident itself was not an issue, as I know babies will get hurt as they learn to crawl and walk but it was how the school handled things following the incident that was the problem. Sunbrook Academy advertises itself as a safe and nurturing place for your baby to receive loving care and learning experiences. The Infant Care Program is committed to making the first transition away from home natural and easy for both child and parent. Our experience was anything but that. After several weeks of back and forth with the regional director or Cadence, I was finally able to review the video of the incident involving my son. It was as described but the whole ordeal left me very disappointed in the school and how they care for children. I unfortunately have heard more horror stories about this school over the last few weeks and had I known any of this prior to enrolling our son, I would never have let him attend this school.

As is the case with all families, there are sometimes challenges. They are ALWAYS handled by the Director on down immediately and in a way that will always benefit the children. While I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and I will fight for your right to express it, I respectfully disagree with the negative comments written below. There is NO WAY any child was drug across a room or tied to a chair. Now I will agree that maybe what was seen was a child tripping and being caught or a game of Rapunzel "tying up" Flynn Ryder and I'm confident if asked the situation would be explained. As for the use of the word "teacher". I believe we all use that word pretty freely. From Sunday School "teachers' to Music Class "teachers" to Ballet "teachers", I would guess most of those "teachers" do not have any type of teaching degree but, it does make it a heck of a lot easier to explain who they are to our children. Also, afternoon in any pre-school is not the educational time of the day. Academics are always in the morning, while the afternoon is for fun and let's face it, day care. And who better to play with the children than teenagers - that's why they are so often hired as babysitters, right? I can't speak to the movies being shown but again, there are exceptions to every rule and it seems that this could have been solved easily by sending in a few movies from home since they only watch them on Fridays. Also, in all the classes we have been in any PG movie that was sent in for Special Movie day was replaced by a classroom video and all the children understood why they could not watch it. We only have one more year left at Young Life and just writing that makes me sad. I can't imagine any parent, who is truly looking for a wonderful foundation to their child's academic career while still maintaining family values and open lines of communication would find anything less than perfection at this school!!

Ms. Eileen, Ms. Krystal, Ms. Marcia, Ms. Darlene, Ms. Dianne, Ms. Teresa, Ms. Paola, Mr. Walter, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Dena and Ms. Meghan H. My daughter excelled because of the teachers, support staff and the administration at this school. Before she was born, I toured school after school and what sold me was the level of care and understanding that this school has for individualism. In addition, their spotless records on Bright From the Start's inspections and their accreditation. Even with a transition in management a few years ago (I thought the transition could have been a bit smoother), the team did a phenomenal job in being transparent and focusing on the children. When my daughter continued to excel, the teachers came up with additional ways to keep her engaged in the class (which is REALLY hard to do). There's only one thing I can say that is truly negative about this school, and that's the fact that it is too far away for me to keep my daughter here. Moving to a new school district was a downfall when COVID-19 hit. However, I've yet to experience a school that is this well put together, transparent in communication, active in the community, and proactive about my child's care. Our tuition at Smyrna was inclusive of breakfast (which at both locations is typically apple sauce and a small pastry). At Roswell North, your $300 a week does not include a breakfast. And now the faculty are charging a registration fee every year? So the $15,000 annually isn't enough and they will need to charge another registration fee each year for a child that is already registered. Sure do miss the other Primrose.

As parents of two children at The Hope School at Jacob's Ladder, we are amazed and so thankful for this school every day. When you have faced the struggles that so many parents face of searching for the right educational placement for your child and then you find it, like we did at The Hope School, you realize what a blessing and gift it is. The Hope School not only embraces and accepts your children just exactly as they are, they also deeply understand your child, love your child and encourage them to reach goals and skills that give them the self confidence they need to believe in themselves. The teachers meet your child where they are at and they understand that every child is different. The specialized care and individualized programs put together by the incredible team at The Hope School are unlike anything we have ever seen. The fact that we can send two very different children, with very different challenges, to the same school and know that they are receiving the best education for their individual needs, while maintaining group social interaction, is part of what makes The Hope School so amazing. I cannot say enough about Jacob's Ladder and the incredible teachers and staff who teach and love our 12 yo twins with global neurodevelopmental delays. If I had to sum up our experience at Jacob's Ladder in one word, I'd have to say it's been life-changing. My girls started at Jacob's Ladder when they were 7 years old. They were non-verbal, did not know their colors, letters or shapes and had the development age of about an 18 month old to 2 year old child. Within 11 weeks of starting the 1:1 program at JL both of my girls started speaking, identifying shapes and colors and telling us their wants and needs. It was absolutely astounding to us! They spent 4 years in the special needs program in our county's public school system with no significant progress and within 3 months my girls were speaking to me. Now my girls are in a small group class at JL, speak in entire sentences, tell jokes, know their letters and numbers and are even beginning to read sight words! Every day still brings a new surprise. Everyone is so invested in the success of the children and is just as excited as you are when your child makes a small or significant gain. The students are truly loved - you can just see it, feel it and hear it. We are so happy and so are our girls - I just wish we had come here sooner! read more

We enrolled our granddaughter in Jacob's Ladder following 8th grade. She had many issues from having a stroke in utero. She was visually challenged, had poor coordination, learning disabilities, and anxiety. She tested at 4th grade reading leading when she entered JL and nine months later, she tested at eighth grade reading level. Not only did they work with her on reading, but addressed the eye problem, the poor coordination and the anxiety. These are extraordinary people! They love what they do and are committed to helping each child become the best they can be. My granddaughter is now a sophomore in college. Jacob's Ladder is our special-needs daughter's home away from home -- the moment you drive up, you feel that this place is indeed special. We are so happy this amazing school is in our area! It is a rare jewel. Sadie, developmentally delayed, has received schooling and therapy at JL for several years, and she thrives here and makes tremendous strides. My 17 year old was just evaluated for the Hope school. The team at Jacob's ladder took time to make us all feel welcomed. There were a lot of assessments that needed to take place that day, and they did not pressure my son to complete any of it. They understand that he needs time to process, and that his anxiety can get the best of him. As a result, he was able to complete all but one section of the testing, with the idea that he could come back another day. Jacob's Ladder has definitely proven to be worth the wait! Yes, it's a long wait list process, but I'm so glad we stuck it out. I couldn't think of any other place that could compare to Jacob's Ladder for my son. Now that he's started, he's transitioned pretty well and even smiling as he's greeted at the start of his day. Taylor guided us through the whole process from tour to evaluations and kept up with communicating with us throughout the year. Jacob's Ladder is truly a place of "Hope, Truth and Love". Our son struggled so much in his early school years, despite attending top-notch schools like The Atlanta Speech School and The Howard School. We made the difficult decision to homeschool him with private instructors, but he needed more. He needed Jacob's Ladder. The faculty and staff at JL are amazing. Our oldest is now in kindergarten and was wonderfully prepared to take the next step after leaving RPP last spring. We can not recommend RPP enough.

I struggled dropping my baby off for the first time, but we have both grown to love daycare so much. Now when I pick him up, he doesn't even want to leave. New ownership in 2023 has made so many great changes. There is better communication, cosmetic touch ups to the school, and I believe there is more teacher training. We can't recommend Goddard Holcomb bridge enough.

We have been attending since early 2020 and have had several great teachers and caregivers along the way. Some moments were extra hard to leave a classroom. We've watched our child grow and learn so much over the years and I believe it's been a large contributor to combat her shyness. Goddard has been the one and only place we've entrusted with our daughter since 6mo of age and Ms. Zina / Ms. Pam have been there for us all the way-what gems, it's been such a pleasure to know them. The latest great addition at the beginning of the year has been Ms. Tiffany (pre-K) who, with Ms. Mary, livens up the room and brings many different ideas/activities to the class. My girl was definitely ready for the next big step, thanks to them. They all really love on our kids and it takes a special soul to deal with so many personalities on a daily basis. May God continue to bless this staff and touch so many lives. It can be hard to vet a quality childcare provider, but this one has proven to exceed our expectations.

They are an extension of our family... and I would trust ANY of their staff with either of my children at ANY time. My children have grown up in this facility... and the quality of our children's character is due, in part, to the guidance and love they've received from the staff at Discovery Point. The wonderful teachers at Discovery Point are nothing but kind, compassionate, loving, and caring individuals who care deeply about the well being of EVERY child that walks through that front door. From her days of the week, months in the year, how the seasons change,how to read and write,shapes,patterns (abab,abbabbabb), weather changes... they are amazing at what they do! They keep parents in the loop as well,sending us weekly emails to keep us informed as to what they will be learning,field trips,and fun days like "Dress Like a Superhero" to "Wear your favorite color"! They create a fun environment for kids to learn and ve successful and independent! Also, several teachers are also nurses, so there is no shortage of medical knowledge. We had a family emergency a few weeks ago my oldest was very sick and everyone came to our aid, the school was a safe place for my little one feel at home when home was a hectic place. I'm very thankful for Mrs. Tonya for running such a wonderful place where kids can learn and be loved. Mrs. Terese is just the sweetest person ever and makes it her job to make sure you are happy with your child's experice. We toured several centers in Roswell and were BLOWN AWAY by Building Kidz, which we lovingly call BK in our house. Being at BK totally changed my perception about what daycare is -- and what it isn't. I initially wanted a nanny because I didn't want to feel like some other people were raising my child while I was at work. But in reality, a good daycare isn't just caring for your child, they are teaching them too. Even little babies get stimulation and activities that help them learn social skills and other development skills. Our daughter has been at BK since she was 12 weeks old and now she is nearly 3 years old. We love the focus on performing arts and how BK really makes each family feel like part of a community. I highly recommend Building Kidz to any family I meet. It's such an amazing place for children.

After the first week I had a concern with the communication style and spoke with them about it. After voicing these concerns I could feel the tension and what felt like annoyance and disapproval from the teacher. I am a smiley warm person, and greeted the staff with this disposition hoping this would settle any uncomfortable feeling. The kindness was not returned by his teacher. After several weeks and a conference with my sons teacher and director, it was obvious this was not a good fit for our son or family. If you have a busy boy, a social child, or a child with a vivid imagination- be warned- he or she will not be perceived well. If you are a mama who communicates- this is not the place for you. I have older children in highschool and have never had a back and forth in a parent teacher conference. When a teacher tells you your husband is rude, your actions as a mama are not appropriate, and she is appalled by your son. It is my due diligence to let other families know about my experience.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Let me start out by saying I NEVER write reviews, but I have the need to speak about…read morethis establishment. This was the absolute coldest environment I've ever stepped into and I feel guilty for letting my child stay here for the last 6 months. My daughter begged me NOT to take her there after only a month or two. I should've listened to her because it was 6 months too long! The teachers are not loving towards the children at all, the communication is lacking and they do not know how to handle strong minded kids. They tend to just focus on negative behavior instead of encouraging positive behavior. But the MAIN reason I withdrew her was because the teachers do NOT pay attention to what is going on in their classroom and have zero accountability for incidents. They are highly under staffed and do not watch the children closely AT ALL. My daughter would come home with multiple injuries and no incident report or notification. She had at least 6 bites in the toddler room including her first week there and she came home with 2 black eyes with no explanation as to how she got it. They actually asked me if she had it when I dropped her off that morning. Are you kidding me?? The director was just as guilty as the rest of the staff and never once saw /met the owner until after the check quit coming. I never bothered calling her back. Please do our research before enrolling here, I do NOT recommend it.
