We picked up some homemade biscuits, teacakes, and a German chocolate cake muffin top. Now, I originally came for the biscuits because I was hungry and skipped breakfast that morning lol. And I mean the biscuits were very good--fluffy, buttery, everything you want in a biscuit. But please tell me why the biscuits wasn't even my favorite. Them teacakes, baby? FYE. Like call the fye department . Whew! They were soft, just the right amount of sweet, and had that old-school homemade taste that makes you feel like you sitting in granny's kitchen. They reminded me of sweet cornbread or a fresher version of those shortbread cookies in the blue container (y'all know the one! ). Bae grew up eating teacakes at grandma's house, and these brought back all those memories for her. So it was more than just a treat--it was a full-circle moment.
