Ever since moving to West LA I've been looking for a great doctor to assign as my PCP. Lucky for me…read moreI was able to find Dr. Ko at the recommendation of a friend and through online research. My entire experience during my visit today was A++ The staff at UCLA Health West Washington is awesome. Everyone at the receptionist desk was friendly and made the checkin process very simple. Helen, the nurse who took my blood was funny, interactive, and really took care of me when drawing blood - probably the best experience I've ever had with drawing blood. Dr. Ko was direct, very professional, and very thorough. I felt very comfortable talking to Dr. Ko about my health and look forward to many years of relying on her to manage my health. Another great thing about this UCLA Health location is that they actually have a parking lot which is free. 5 stars in my book and I'm really glad that we still have medical offices here in LA that don't only look for famous patients in the film industry (hint: read my other review of another medical office)

I like the people here and wish I could give a better rating but... Buyer Beware UCLA health…read morebilling. Beware the "convenience" of the video visit. The $500 for 5 minutes call. The convenience is all for UCLA. They will charge you for an in-office visit. Additionally, if the video call is 5 minutes, they will also use a 20-29 minute in office visit code, which is their minimum charge per the billing rep. Potentially understandable if a semi-complex medical question and semi-complex medical files. That means if you have an HDHP that is $500 for a 5min phone call to ask if a common medication may be right for you. I emailed to ask for advice and they say, oh ok, let's get a video appointment. Did I know I will be charged? Yes. Did I think it would be more like $200? Yes. Was it? No. No matter how many times I asked them if this was correct after I got the bill. Did I pay it? Unfortunately, yes. Lesson learned and hopefully this review is a lesson for UCLA office to make it very clear to advise patients that a Video Visit will be charged as an in-office visit. At least offer the cheaper phone call consult. Also, 500 for an in office visit is also exorbitant. Anyways... PS. Also, beware of hidden charges for an annual visit. They tried to charge $100 for a portion of the annual screening that should havr been covered under preventive care or something they did not do (extra consultation). They force you to spend an hour with billing to get them to waive it and you have to research and explain why they made a mistake.

The facility is incredibly clean, well organized, and has snacks and waters to grab on the go or if you're waiting for a few minutes. I had to travel for work and self inject which was a little overwhelming for me at first and Greg took the time to go over everything multiple times and practice with me until I was confident in doing so. They are thorough with doing follow up blood work to monitor levels and I feel great and will continue treatment. Highly recommend getting your levels checked, you almost certainly could benefit from treatment at the Man Clinic.

First impression on my first visit, HORRIBLE customer service…read more Second impression, there was no second chance. How does someone make a walk in appointment, drive 90 minutes through LA traffic just to be told that Greg was in the Valley where he lives looking for his birth certificate. Then I was told that all consultations are done by the phone ‍. If that's the case, why did Eddie give me a time and location for my appointment that nobody seemed to know about. Unbelievable BS!! I'd say it's good if you actually need to be there. But otherwise, I think the niceness kind of…read moremasks the money grabbing behavior that I experienced. Based on my annual checkup, my general practitioner had noticed a very slightly positive result for autoimmune disease, so she recommended I go to a rheumatologist to get tested just in case. The copay was $73 (there's no fee if you pay with cash - I don't go to doctors often but I've never heard of a cash discount at one). The staff and doctors are super nice, and it's a nice building. It's adjacent to Culver City, after all. We reviewed my results in-person at the next appointment a couple weeks later. There was nothing indicating I had an autoimmune disease and basically no concerns because I wasn't displaying any symptoms, but they had me book another appointment. I honestly didn't know what I was going for (mentioning again that I don't really go to doctors because don't really have symptoms), but since I wasn't charged for the results appointment for visit #2, I just went with it. For this third appointment, I had to pay another $73 copay and I did bloodwork again. I was given my results over the phone this time. And then a fourth appointment was scheduled for a few months later. However, I've finally realized that they'll just keep scheduling appointments, have me pay these copays as well as Labcorp who interprets the bloodwork, probably until forever. Even though again, *I am not displaying any symptoms." It wasn't until my friend who actually has an autoimmune disease was like, "Why are you going? I literally only go when I have symptoms." So like I said in the beginning - I'm sure it's a great place if you actually need to go because you're experiencing pain, discomfort, and other symptoms. But if you're generally healthy and the only suggestions they have for you are to take Vitamin D and K12 pills, consume more Vitamin C, and ice your knee after you workout if you feel any slight pain, then you're probably good to sit this out. Also want to note that even if you make an appointment, you could be sitting for 45 minutes. I'll never understand that about doctor appointments. If you're 10 minutes late, it's a huge deal. But if you arrive on time and then you sit for 30+ minutes, it's just accepted. So in terms of parking pro-tips - there's parking across Venice in the neighborhoods and the parking garage a block away gives you one hour free. But again, that can be risky since the wait time is unpredictable.

The appointment was for my dad, who cannot speak English, so I had to accompany him. There was a misunderstanding, and my dad went to a medical office in a different city. When I explained the situation to the front office staff, she was very accommodating. My dad was able to rush over to the Culver City office and see the doctor. A little background about my dad: he has been suffering from chest pain for three years. He has visited countless doctors and has completed countless testings. However, NO DOCTOR was able to find any abnormalities. One of his doctors diagnosed him with depression and told my dad that he's just suffering anxiety attacks!!! Now my dad is medically diagnosed as depressed because he's been having chest pains!!! WTH?!?! Anyway, Dr. Ahn went through my dad's symptoms and past medical history by spending ample amount of time with him. I was very impressed with her thoroughness. Btw, she is very young, attractive, and obviously extremely intelligent. She ordered another lab tests and EKG. Fortunately, she was able to find irregularities in his heartbeat!!! Finally!!! After 3 years of pain and frustration, we have a breakthrough!!!! Thank the Lord! God has answered our family's prayers. Dr. Ahn referred my dad to a cardiologist to conduct additional tests. I am truly grateful for everyone at this office for their effectiveness and flexibility. In a perfect world, all doctor's appointments will be this pleasant.
