I submitted answers to their emails and questionnaire and sent in my documents as requested for initial review. Afterwards I was told that the attorneys reviewed my info and wanted to meet with me to discuss but I needed to pay a hefty fee before they would tell me if I had a case or not or any information at all. This despite the ad here on Yelp saying they offer free consultations. I didn't have a problem with the fee, there was just too much uncertainty and I didn't feel like they would be a good partner for this sensitive issue. A simple "we think we can help you or at least offer some ideas based on what we've read so far" or "we don't think we can help you based on our initial review but would like more info"... would've been preferred. We completed mediation and then, when mediation failed, they refused to file suit. All they wanted was a quick settlement, quick money so they didn't have to do much work. As a paralegal, I know that when an attorney refuses to take your case to trial it is incredibly hard to get another attorney to represent you. By taking our case, never intending to represent us through trial, they basically ensured we would not be able to find another attorney and would not be able to sue to recover our damages. All they wanted was a quick settlement, quick money so they didn't have to do much work. By taking my case you would think they are representing you. You would think you could actually speak to the attorney but you do not (Ever). They tell you not to call them and that they would contact you when things move through they system. That was very untrue. They do not file any documents with the labor board. No they send a letter to the company asking for money to which the company laughs and ignores them. A year later. They then tell tell you there is nothing they can do unless you pay them to do something. They do nothing for you unless you give them money. Please do not waste your time. Took over a week to respond which forced me to waste valuable time in my federally approved EEO complaint investigation period. Never was allowed to consult an actual attorney but rather got some intake specialist who wanted my entire sensitive (LV1 clearance) application paperwork without providing protection of my information over email and without reason (completed a consult without providing my application). They took over 48 hours to respond and failed to ever complete an intake because the care more about how much money they are going to make of your lost pay than actually assisting in discrimination cases (they refused to take the case after I responded identifying my pay grade). Got another attorney who responded in 24hrs and is handling it properly. Don't waste your time with this firm that only cares about their bottom dollar and not your case or confirmed discrimination by the employer. In regards to owner response: As a state licensed professional, there is no confidentiality conflict because you have no information as no consult was completed.
