Awesome dentist. Opened his office for us on a Saturday afternoon to fix my son's front tooth which cracked earlier that day.

Children's Dental Zone - Slide for the kids!

Children's Dental Zone

This isn't just a dentist it is a carnival!…read more Slides in the office, gaming area, a coffee station, lots of open seating, and then a prize area for kids when they are done. The dental stations are equipped with TVs and headphones for each person, and there is no messing around... once you are in you are attended to! I mean it is like a giant kids play place in here. Well decorated, happy and fun! What kid wouldn't want to go here. Heck I want to come here! Super nice place, great people, and a good location. They have changed dentist visits for my kids forever!

The dental office is beautiful but there is a fine line between being treated as a consumer instead…read moreof a patient. They offer private rooms at an additional $100 (optional) but only in the mornings and if you agree to a private room once- the office categorizes you as a patient who can graduate from that room but only based on the discretion of the people who are getting paid by such private room⁉They will refuse to schedule an appt with a regular room moving forward. You are stuck paying for the private room and front desk can't do anything about it. This feels unethical and not in the best interest of your patients. Every other dental office will offer you a private room due to hipaa and osha ( this is a clear violation) and not charge additional. The only difference is there is a door here and not a partition. At this office they make it so the chairs sit SO close together like in a dental college ( a dental bay is a clear osha violation) - that naturally the parent will request that private room bc all it takes is one crying child to scare the others. Either way, you do have to agree to it so it's not a secret either but again feels off and completely on purpose! This area is like the, "nicest," in the neighborhood I guess and the other offices around are pretty old, making it so that these type of businesses provide care in a different way, more like you're a number and not a person. The slide and toys are nice but not what most important here. It's too bad bc Dr.Diaz was very kind and the hygienists were lovely as well. Ultimately, I thought maybe I was not the target audience until the office manager called me back to smooth things over and never acknowledged the issue. She went out of her way to tell me why the have private rooms while still not addressing that the issue is they lock you into a room you have to pay $100 additional for and therefore cant even book a regular appt without their permission, the dr didn't bother to call me and Elaina even admitted there were no notes from Dr saying my son had to stay in private room. She kept saying you could graduate (wth?) I'm paying for this!! Delusional. This state is ranked the worst in health care, there is a reason.

I did my…read moreresearch to try to find the best dentist in the area since I also am particular about my dental experiences. Peak far exceeded my expectations. You have to call before you can be let into the building; one parent per child/patient. The office is bright, clean and welcoming with lovely, relaxing paint colors and beautiful, child friendly art on the walls. With COVID, it is nice to know there are only two families at a time and the staff is all vaccinated. The expectation is everyone wears masks (other than the child). They introduce all the tools before they're used. They have a TV overhead so the child is occupied. It was nice that they ask if the TV can be turned on for your child. Anna and Stephanie were excellent and thorough and explained every procedure as well as answered every question thoroughly and courteously. Dr. Cassinelli came in to examine my son and built an immediate rapport with us. She also was very friendly as well as informative. And at the end of the exam, my son received a toy rubber duckie as well as a dental goodie bag including child floss packets and toothbrush. I am always nervous going to the dentist so I wanted to make sure my son's first experience was comfortable and set a good precedent for the future. I was thrilled with my visit and I am sure my son now looks forward to going to see the dentist!

On the day of the procedure, they presented a surprise bill for $2,800--a $1,000 increase with no prior notice. Beyond the billing issues, the front desk conduct is deeply concerning. The receptionist, Hailey, displays a clear shift in demeanor based on the ethnicity of the patients she is assisting. From both personal experience and observation, it is evident she lacks the professionalism to treat African American patients with the same courtesy as others. When I chose to reschedule and eventually cancel due to these red flags, they refused to refund my deposit. This isn't just a "misunderstanding"--it's a predatory practice. Save your time and your money.

She had cavities at a very young age and had to be placed under anesthesia to fill and he made sure he explained the process and we had it at the hospital because he was concerned with the size of her tonsils. Long story short his concern led to her pediatrician (who had to clear her for surgery) sending her to an ear nose and throat specialist. We had her tonsils and adenoids removed and we would have never known the issue existed if it hadn't been for Dr Hicks. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The new office is absolutely gorgeous -

It's by far the most beautiful dentist office I've seen, with a lobby that looks like a Vegas hotel lobby. There's a movie room to keep your children occupied while waiting, or adults waiting for their kids. He does such a great job, when my daughter had 8 cavities (yes, 8, oops), he took care of it swiftly and she had no issues. In the new office, they have a gold coin to give to them where they can pick from several candy ball-like machines as a prize. My daughter literally asked when the next time she can get a cleaning because she wanted another gold coin. Brilliant! Highly recommend!

A Smile-Inducing Dental Home - Thank You, Kidental!…read more From the moment we step into Kidental, it feels like walking into a place designed just for kids (and their grateful parents!). As a mom, nothing warms my heart more than seeing my son beam with comfort and confidence here. The entire team--from the front desk's cheerful greetings to the dentist's gentle expertise--goes above and beyond to make every visit joyful and stress-free. What truly stands out is how they empower my little one to take ownership of his care. Whether letting him choose a fun toothbrush, explaining tools in kid-friendly ways, or giving him space to ask questions, they make him feel like a partner in his dental health. No rushed vibes, no intimidation--just pure patience and positivity. It's amazing how a dental visit can turn into something he looks forward to! And can we talk about the office? Bright, clean, and buzzing with warmth--it's the kind of place where even I feel instantly at ease. I loved our experiences so much that I'm excited to start my dental journey with Kidental, too! To the incredible team and dentist at Kidental: Thank you for turning what's often a nerve-wracking experience into one filled with laughter, learning, and trust. I briefly FaceTimed him so he could see her during the visit. The dentist abruptly said, "No FaceTime," in a curt manner. I completely understand if that is the office policy, but the delivery felt rude and there was no explanation given. The second situation happened during another visit when Dr. Z told me I could not be rude to his staff. I was very confused because I had no idea what he was referring to, and I told him that I hadn't been rude. He responded with something along the lines of, "Come on, I know you were." Shortly after, a staff member came into the room and explained that they had mistaken me for a different parent. Dr. Z did apologize, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the interaction added to the overall feeling that the environment was not very warm or welcoming. Because of these experiences, we have not returned.

Dr. Z is, without fail, so positive, encouraging, gentle and kind that my children (and me too!) are excited to go to the dentist each 6 months. Both of my younger kids had behaviors that impacted their teeth (ie. Thumb sucking) and he gave us advice, coached them through it, and even sent presents when they "met their goals". All around fabulous - every child should be so lucky to have such a great dentist!
