One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

Well I am going to write my experience with these people, specifically Kathy O'Malley. A piece of…read moremail came misdelivered to my address. I thought I was doing the right thing to contact them letting them know that a letter marked confidential was delivered to my home for someone who lives in my neighborhood. I actually emailed the receptionist, who was very polite and professional my first and last name, my address and email. She asked for my phone number and I gave it. I asked her to contact their client letting them know their mail was at my home. I offered that since putting it back in the mail would delay them getting their mail. Not hearing from them, I called and this woman, Kathy O'Malley, who in any opinion is a total lunatic got on the phone and declared war telling me to shut up. WOW. I tried explaining to her, but she got psycho. Told me she doesn't trust me and that I refused to give the mail to the post office. If she does, she will face legal consequences, because that is a felony to not give someone their mail. Mind you all I did was offer to have them ask their client to get it from me so it doesn't get misdelivered or delayed. Well I returned it to sender. She actually emailed me that the client also does not "trust " me with their mail. I took a picture of the mail and sent to them so they can inform the Post Office of this misdelivered mail. So much for doing the right thing on my time. If you are considering having this lunatic trusted with your finances. I would think again. Not one of my neighbors, all professional, including my own accountant of 24 years can imagine her actions. Totally disrespected me and was rude and nasty and verbally abusive. This is not a woman you would want to hold accountable if you were not happy with her services. I am writing this as it shows the true character of this woman.

I still can't figure out why I was charged so much to file my taxes. It would have been nice if I would have been told what the charge would be and if I wanted to proceed with this company filing my taxes instead of invoicing me for the services first beforehand It was a simple tax return. I've learned my lesson and I will never do business without getting the price of the services upfront- if I would have been told what their fee was I would have went to another tax preparer. No more starting price agreements for me. Hopefully someone will have a better experience with this company than I did. I will never do business with this company again.

Ms. Edwards stated the deposit was to get started and the final payment was due when she was finished and ready to file the returns. That was a lie. She took the balance, and did not file the returns when she said. I texted her numerous times after paying her the balance to ask if she had what she needed. She ignored many of those communications. I also requested call backs, which she ignored. Then she set meetings which she skipped. I WILL BE SUING THIS COMPANY and complaint will be filed with IRS. I suggest that you all not use her. She only started trying to spring into action after I contacted my bank to have my money returned to my card.
