There are a lot of H&R Block locations in my area, but I'm so thankful I chose this one. I was helped by Jodi Valles, who took a good amount of time answering every question I had and walking me the rest of the way through the process. She could've easily charged me for her time and expertise, but instead she chose not to. This year, they were charged $275 and w/i 2 days were receiving calls from H & R with messages saying they owed $140 or their paperwork would not be sent to the IRS. Turns out, they were billed for someone else's taxes. I went in with my mother on Saturday to find out the problem. We were told that they would be refunded the $275 and the $140 would be waived for the inconvenience and the manager, Jennifer, would call by the end of the day to report that taxes were sent in and all was well. No one called, and when I tried to call the office (which was suggested if we did not hear back) I got an automated service- I tried to leave a message 3x and each time the call was cut off before the message. Today- Wednesday, I went in and was told that the manager was not in the office and she would call by the end of the day. No call was received....again! This place is a shit show! I DO NOT RECOMMEND H&R BLOCK on Marvin Road! There is so much more to this story but do not want to bore with the details.
