It's impossible for me to review Logan's local library without a little bit of bias; it's my home…read moretown library, the one I've been going to since I was a child. We took field trips there in elementary school, and they visited us monthly in their fancy bookmobile. I've even built the building from memory in Minecraft, with moderate success...if you ignore how horribly disproportionate it is. I'm incredibly attached to the place, and can always drop by and just browse about the bookshelves when I'm in need of a pick-me-up, and at the very least a monthly visit is absolutely necessary to quell the symptoms of withdrawal that result from my rampant, all-consuming bibliophilia. Technically it's a pretty small library. Although significantly bigger after the addition a few years ago, it obviously can't compare to the libraries you'll find in bigger cities but I still think it's a sizable library considering it's in such a small town, and with the inter-library loan system a patron actually has quite a number of books at their disposal anyway. As a resident of Logan, I'm more than satisfied to have a library of this size here. My only complaint is that the science fiction section is almost entirely useless. I read from just about genre besides romance, but unfortunately I have to go elsewhere for science fiction and fantasy because the selection is so poor here. The vast majority of the section is composed of incomplete series, and it seems no matter how big the series is they'll always be missing just 1 or 2 books. Is it a three-book series? They'll have two. A 5-book series? They'll have 3. A 7 book series? They'll have 5. If you look long enough you may find a standalone novel or two, and they actually do have some complete series, but it takes a lot of digging to find anything readable so I just give the whole section a miss. Also, the parking lots have terrible entrances and exits and I always feel like I'm damaging my car driving in and out of them. This, however, isn't so much a problem with the library as a problem with Logan in general. Other than that minor complaint, I'm a huge fan of the place. I'm also a member of the Fairfield County system, and even though they technically they are better in just about every way imaginable, I still find myself visiting Logan's library almost exclusively. Fairfield has a much bigger library, more libraries in their system, and almost every book imaginable can be delivered to any location in the system with their awesome online book request feature, and not even that can't lure me from this place. If you are a book lover in Logan and aren't using this library, you're really missing out, especially if you haven't visited in the last few years.

Took post-secondary classes at OUCH! That means taking college classes while still in high school…read more I scored high enough on the Act to qualify and it was truly an amazing experience. I always earned straight As in school and needed a no academic challenge along with a no escape from high school drama. I got a high quality education with friendships that'll last a lifetime! I took 3 Zoology, a psycholog 101 and mneunonics survey course, along with two art histories, intro to drawing, clay building, and a painting course. Mrs. Pontious was awesome with hands on zoology experience! Psych went broad spectrum yet stayed interesting. Art history went through thousands of years of art and architecture, and the art classes really tested the limits of my talents! I did these while also taking AP English and AP Calculus at Circleville High School! All the teachers deserve an A+ in my eyes! Make sure you attend every class and take good notes! With smaller classes it's easy to ask questions and make friends! Lovely nature woodland area with gazebo behind building! Giant gym building next door celebrating the Hilltoppers! One of the best decisions of my life was to do Post-Secondary at Ohio University Chillicothe from CHS! Highly reccomend for those bored in high school, or those scared of getting lost in the big state schools! Very approachable atmosphere! All of my credits transferred to OSU, and it helped my resume/curriculum vitale enough to get the Maximum Scholarship at OSU! Strong nursing program, with a wide variety of art, psychology, and sign language classes! Beautiful library with very knowledgeable librarian who'll help you look up information for your papers. Placement computer test and essay to get in was very easy and designed to get to know you as a student. School email is easy to use, as is the computer room. It has a small cafeteria like area in basement with nothing but vending machines and microwave. Subway and Sumburger is a short drive away with friends! I only wish I too all four years of high school there! You get both high school and college credit! Strong in the arts and humanities! Definitely helped me gain confidence before entering OSU main campus! Two Hilltopper Thumbs Up!

Happened to be nearby and needed a few books. Easy to get to, though watch the turn- you go in…read moresouth of the building, there's a one-way exit just north of the library, and no way to get in through the mall. Beautiful new building, lots of glass. Open and bright inside. Large children's area. I didn't see the other areas, because I have a kid... K found what she wanted, admired the fish tank, played in the play areas. Very pleasant all around. We are lucky to have a great library system in Franklin County, often rated one of the best in the nation, with many branches, which are being upgraded regularly. Great staff, large selection, easy to reserve. Not to mention the programs and events and electronic offerings. Honestly, one of the centers of the community and a driver of excellence.

All I can say about the new library is WOW. Definitely a destination place. I always supported…read morelibrary levies because of how they meet the needs of our diverse community. But this new library is incredible. I especially like all the "New Book" areas. Tons of spots for your little ones, your teens or maybe you just want to sit and relax and plug in or unplug. Inside, you would have no idea you are on busy Brice Road. Lots of parking, love the landscaping. We need more than 5 stars.
