The ambiance was delightful. The perfect first date or place to clear your head. The drink menu had fall favorites, and I chose a boozy salted caramel apple cocktail that looked like it belonged on the cover of Food & Wine. But the taste managed to surpass presentation. It wasn't too heavy or strong. It was the perfect drink for the first night out in weeks. Other options were the Lemon Drop Martini or the spiced pumpkin latte martini, with plenty of beers on tap or soft drinks for the under 21 crowd. I had a hard time choosing between spaghetti or the armed Italian sandwich. Luckily, spaghetti or fries could be served as a side for the Italian sandwich, so I enjoyed the best of both worlds. The presentation was not at all what I was expecting, given that I've only ordered a bucket of spaghetti for take-out from Belleria in Kent. But this felt different. I felt fancier and spoiled by the kindness of the server, with lighthearted jokes and kindness. With each plate, the smells were even more exciting than the presentation. But the food was delicious and I wouldn't change anything. The temperature was just right. The bread on the Italian sandwich was crispy and never soggy. It smells fresh, fluffy, with a crisp outside that will definitely bring me back again. Thursday nights, there's a special for pizza, a pitcher of beer, or a carafe of house wine with two salads. The perfect chance to give it a try for less than $30. Highly recommended.

I can say that the calzones may be the best menu item they offer. Our waiters/waitresses have always been incredibly polite every time we've gone.

I moved back to the Akron area a couple years ago and love making the 20 minute trek to this fabulous place. First, the selection is incredible. Next, the quality is next level! The grains + flour + ingredients they use... and the resulting goodies. But somehow the place is unpretentious + fairly priced. Some of my favorite things so far: the buns (are you thinking "how good can buns be?" Well, you are going to find out), the oatmeal raisin bread (a dream, a balance of hearty + earthy + sweet... toasted MYGOD), the cheese stick (funky chewy bliss), and the dark chocolate spelt cookie. Can't wait to try everything else. Clapping + cheering for the bakers + proprietors, Amy

They have a good selection of breads including loaves, focaccias and rolls. The pastries are very nice, with croissants, danishes, cookies and scones. There is also a cooler with ready to bake quiches and pizzas. Service is nice and casual, although the service area is compact but they keep things moving. I also appreciate there is a rack with half priced day old breads. When you have really high quality bread you can still enjoy it a day later. Quite a surprise to find such a nice bread bakery in a somewhat out of the way place. If you are in the area well worth a stop to enjoy some great baked goods and stock up.
