I suppose if there's anyone to blame for my addiction to sausage rolls, it would be this bakery in Bedwell, Stevenage.
I just moved to the UK and took my morning walk because of my biological clock when I stumbled by this little bakery in the neighborhood shopping center. The owner, Jackie, introduced me to the savoury pastries that I've never heard of. After much pointing around to what pastry to choose, I settled for the sausage roll. The next day, I got the hot cross buns. Not bad for a bakery that's not part of a chain (e.g. Greggs).
While the other pastries are OK (I do recommend the hot cross buns when in season), Jackie's kindness makes it quite the place to get a sausage roll or bread if you ever have to visit Stevenage.
