They were English (always helps when your French is limited to grammatically-incorrect pleasantries) and made lots of recommendations to suit us. They also gave us each a free shot of the infamous, home-brewed toffee vodka, which is the nectar of the Gods. The restaurant itself is really cute - very rustic French chalet-esque, with the appropriate antique ski memorabilia on the walls. It sticks in my mind because some girl decided that she didn't want to hang around with her mum any more, and wanted to hang around me, and the fact that my French is pretty bad didn't really disuade her. Anyway, yeah, it's a pretty nice pub with good service and decent beers, which I definitely appreciate.
