Considering doing the inland water route with our SeaDoo Switch Do you sell Recreational Gas? ...as we might need to fuel up part way if we do the route in both directions.…

Yes we do sell Rec fuel with marine additives. We look forward to seeing you on our new gas dock.

The showers and changing rooms are perfect and part of the bathroom (which is great if you have little kids, like me). There is a really nice park right next door and 2 great sandy beach areas just to the north and to the south. Take your pick! The water is clean and aquarium-esc. A few kelp beds, but hey... They help keep the water clean. In July it fills up quick, so get their before noon, hopefully you'll get a slip, if not, and you have a smaller boat like mine, you'll be climbing the wall, literally. The docks are kinda high (water is low), but that's the case everywhere these days. Although some locals til us that next year (2013) they were planning to add 14 figure floating docks, so that'll be even better, for the smaller vessels. If that's the case, I'd have to give it 6 stars!

The last time I stopped in here was in 1992. It has been completely changed since then. WOW. It is…read morestill a relatively small and intimate marina (less than 100 slips), but the staff is friendly and the place is immaculate. When I say changed though, I mean they still have the same great service and location, but the set up of the marina has changed in that it no longer has the peninsula with the tree at the end, instead it has been dredged and reconfigured & modernized. very nice. Not only that but it is convenient to everything in this very small (one horse) village. One note though, the marina offers Air2Access Wifi, which is uber expensive, and ungodly SLOW. DON'T PAY FOR IT! You can get FREE high speed Wifi from the Leelanau township public library not even 50 yards up the street (on the right, next to the post office), where the signal is 4 bars from the street or even the park next door. There is also a Tom's Grocery store 100 yards up the hill (on the left). Great little marina! Can't recommend it enough. 5 stars!

The 2nd pontoon was for a Saturday and it had a water slide. Both boats were super fun but the service was great. Becky and Cheyann did an amazing job helping us. They were super friendly and very knowledgeable. They cared for us as customers and made sure our experience was great. The one negative was the boat power button that controlled the water for the slide was shot. Becky did her best to rig it up hit it failed later shortly after going out. I was able to rig it myself using her technique but eventually the button failed all together. We still made the best of it and the girls are kind and hard working. Thank you! When I picked the boat up, I only made it eight miles when a wheel bearing on the trailer failed. While this was not a direct reflection on the boat's condition, it was preview of coming attractions. Dewitt replaced the failed bearing at their expense but I had to pay for the other three, which their service tech said were not likely reliable. After the wheel bearings were replaced, I picked the boat up again and tried to launch it. The engine turned over but it would not start. So another two hour round trip to take the boat back to Dewitt. They had the boat for a few days and said they found moisture in the engine compartment and bilge. They said they started successfully several times without issue. After another two hour round trip to get the boat, I tried to launch it again and it would not even turn over. Dewitt's response was it sounded like a bad battery and I would be responsible for getting it diagnosed and/or replaced. I now have a boat that I have never heard/seen run and Dewitt will not stand behind their initial assurance it was in good running condition. BUYER BEWARE!

Nothing beats a day on the water in Northern Michigan. A week before our vacation I rented a boat…read morefor our family. Unfortunately, the forecast called for a cold and rainy day for the Monday our boat was booked. The company told me they have a no refund policy unless it's really raining, but the cold alone isn't fun when on a boat. Fortunately, they were very accommodating even with their policy and let us move the boat to a few days later when the weather forecast looked perfect. We had a boat big enough for 14 people (very roomy for our party of 5) and a tube. My husband doesn't have much boating experience, but didn't have any issues after a 3 minute lesson from the friendly woman at Boyne Watersports. The highlight for the kids was definitely the tubing. They have 2 types of tubes: the laying down ones my kids use at camp (for 3) and another one that's more like a couch (for 2). We opted for the "couch" tube and the kids absolutely loved it. They went again and again and again. By the end they were asking for a "hells ride" and flipping all over the place. We wish we had taken them up on instructions for how to dock the boat because the kids started to get hungry and we passed by their new favorite restaurant, The Landing. However, my husband was too nervous that he would crash the boat attempting to dock so we waited to eat until we got back. 4 hours was the minimum, but I think 3 hours is plenty. It's also a very expensive outing, but was one of the highlights of our trip up north! I'd definitely use this company again. They did mention you could rent boats for less time if you walk up, although the gorgeous day we rented was a busy one for them so probably best to rent in advance.
