I bought a gas range (a floor model) from Lowe's. Sounds like a great idea until you get it home…read moreand realize that it doesn't come with an installation guide (not too bad, there's the internet), it's missing a part (getting worse) and oh yea, you have a historic (meaning very, very old) house and two other parties have already tried to install the stove and given up. In comes Baps! I was at my wits end by the time I called him. The end of the story is this: The stove got installed. It works great. If this was a regular job, that'd be the end of it. But this job was a beast. So if you need serious help read on. Here's what happened: - he called the manufacturer multiple times (with the patience of no one I know) to figure out why the stove wasn't igniting. -went to Home Depot (or somewhere) twice to get parts as it became clear that my gas line was old (no surprise) and the gas wasn't flowing as it should. -modified a hose to fit my "historic" lines. - changed the valve, cut the gas, turned it back on, and reinstalled a line that had been previously installed incorrectly. -he spent the better part of the day solving my problem, and long after I wanted to give up, and three weeks after having no working stove, the job is done!!! I can finally eat. I will never call anyone else.

Mahmoud came out the first business day after I contacted, exactly on time, and he was courteous and efficient and got the job done correctly. It might be a small thing too- but I was going to install it with only basic grounding set up with the device, and totally missed that there was a SECOND type of grounding that's best. Mahmoud asked if there was an extra little green screw (that I had missed) and we found it and he did the install even better. The extra attention to detail to triple check it was done exactly right let me know that Mahmoud and Jolof electric will be my first call next time! Glad I went with a professional and felt the price was very fair!

Advanced drainage admitted that their guys messed up but they were unable to repair the mistake without going under slab. Because of their mistake my driveway has an obvious and ugly patch. I have been a Ready Power customer for approximately 13 years, dating back to the original…read moreinstallation of my home gas generator. After letting my maintenance contract lapse, I renewed it in July 2025 for $295, which was supposed to include a one-time service visit covering oil, filter, spark plug, and air filter. The problems began with my first service call. A technician came out, diagnosed the issue, but did not have the necessary part on his truck. He said he would return once the part was available. When he came back to complete the repair, I received a second invoice for $200, billed as an entirely separate service call. I contacted the office and spoke with a representative named Crystal, who told me that charging for each visit was company policy and that no adjustment would be made. Only after I insisted on speaking with a supervisor did she offer to waive the charge, adding that I should expect to pay full service call fees for every future visit, regardless of the circumstances. The second issue involved my contract renewal. When I received the new invoice, the price had increased from $295 to $395, a 34 percent increase in a single year. When I called to ask about it, I again spoke with Crystal, who explained that rising gasoline prices and other costs justified the increase. She offered to honor last year's rate as a one-time exception but made clear that $395 would be the going rate going forward. I cancelled the contract and will not be doing business with Ready Power again. I am sharing these facts so that prospective customers can make an informed decision. The pattern I experienced involved a billing practice that penalizes customers when a technician comes unprepared, a price increase of 34 percent with minimal explanation, and a customer service approach that required escalation before any reasonable accommodation was offered. Whether this meets your standard for a service provider you can trust is for you to decide.

Any company that has employees who clearly have no problem threatening a woman for asking them to not block off so much parking should really check themselves. The box outside on the pole was lightly on fire, the entire thing needed to be replaced, the pole, the wires, all the way to our box inside the trailer. The bottom of the trailer burned as well and as two women who are afraid of being conned and being seen as easy victims to charge an arm and a leg Mr Tommie is an honest, hard working man. He got our power back in three days. Three! And EVERYTHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED! It would've been sooner if the other parties could've come in and supplies were there sooner. He's an amazing person with a heart full of kindness. He walks you through it all and explains in a way you can understand what happened. I cannot thank you enough Mr Tommie. You did what looked like a hard three man job as one man and the pricing was very fair and affordable for this mother and daughter. He worked all day in the hot sun, then rain, then sun and storm. Seriously, he worked damn hard. If you need an electrician, that's honest, that will walk you through the process, that shows you the cost of supplies, Mr Tommie is the man to go to. What's even more touching, we are an Asian household that does not wear shoes in the house. Without even having to ask him, he respectfully, did not bring outside mud and bacteria into our home. He walked back and forth taking off shoes and putting on his shoes inside and outside of our home and it meant so much to my mom and I. He will forever be our electrician.
