So, during my bike ride at tree farm, I somehow managed to get a puncture on my back tire. Luckily…read moreI was only a mile into the trail when it happened. Did the walk of shame back to the start line. Next day, I walked my bike bike over since I do only live a few blocks away from this establishment. Plus they did a really nice job on my old shopping bike that I wanted to bring my serious trail bike over to them. They found my puncture, they said it's not recommended to patch something like that. So they put in a new inner tube and purchased an extra one just in case it happens again on the trail. They even fixed my chain since it seems to be slipping off gear when I was riding it back. I do like this shop and I would do business here again. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

I bought a child's bike here after going through 2 at another discount store. The first bike I…read morebought my 4-yr old granddaughter's brakes seized up...took it back. Got a refund. She hardly rode it. The second bike I bought for her.....the chain broke and since it was mostly plastic, I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Took back. So....figured I'd try a better bike and went to Petri. Paid over $300 for a really cute child's bike that I loved, she loved, and it didn't look cheap. Well, she had it for less than 2 months (and had only ridden it a few times) and the front hand brakes broke. She probably fell off of it, and.....WHY would anyone think front brakes like that are a good idea for a 4-year old little girl, who will be falling off her bike all the time? Tried to fix it....first time worked, second time failed. Anyway.....she managed to break this bike, too, so today, I took it back to Al Petri and Sons and they recommended just taking the front brakes off and using the regular manual foot brakes. Which I agree...makes more sense. I really do not recommend any child having hand brakes as they are too fragile, in my opinion for a child. They very graciously took the hand brakes off and advised just using regular brakes, which, hey, worked for me as a kid....while I waited. In fact, I think I had my first bike for over 10 years. For some strange reason, my grandson, who is only a year older than my granddaughter....his bike with a front handbrake is still fine. Don't know why, but was impressed with how easily I got a solution since I didn't want to be taking this bike back all the time when my granddaughter broke it. Just a turn of the wheel, can break it. Thanks Petri and Sons. They fixed it for nothing, and I their recommendation was the same as mine.

You should go to Urban Rider Cargo Bikes today…read more I had been saving up and researching electric cargo bikes for years until last Christmas when my partner surprised me with a hefty sum he had been saving up for my first ebike. I knew exactly where to go because I am extremely fortunate to live only a couple of miles from the store in Ann Arbor. I'd been there many times before just wandering around and admiring the vast and varied selection of electric bikes they have ready to ride. Finally I was ready to actually make a purchase at last. I talked with one of the owners, Kim, about the key features about some of the bicycle options available in store and what I was looking for in terms of size, use, range, etc.. She's a bicycling guru - superb at making people comfortable asking any and all questions and then answering them in a thoughtful and easy going way. This NOT an intimidating bike shop. Within minutes of taking a test ride on a Riese & Muller Multicharger Mixte I knew that I could not settle for anything other than this particular bike. The Mixte has such amazing features that make it a joy to ride. I love the size, the easy to use controls, the comfortable ride, the rear seating option for my kiddo, the accessories, the rock solid kickstand, and everything else about it. In my opinion, it's an engineering and design home run in the electric cargo bike world. It truly is the most fun transportation option I could ever imagine. Now, it's time to get one for my partner.

They were super knowledgeable and even offered to right size my daughter for a bike even if I didn't end up buying it from them. Lastly, they even helped me load it into my suv because I was not sure it would fit! Super fast service and I will be coming in on Tuesday when they open (wrote this on a Sunday) to look for bike mirrors! I would also love it if they offered service at my house as it's not always easy to get my bike in and out of my suv with the car seats. haha Thanks A&B

I needed a flat repaired on my recumbent trike. New to the area, I did not purchase the trike…read morelocally. Let's just say A&B has their priorities in place. EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. They were busy at the time I entered serving other customers and greeted me immediately, with a smile, letting me know that they were aware I was waiting. When handling my trike flat, they asked if I wanted to wait. What? Like now? Gotta love it. So naturally I waited and remembered a few other issues with my trike, of which I had a complex seat issue. I had ordered some seat "wings" previous to my move. It entailed drilling the carbon seat to fit the wings to make riding more secure as I'd almost been tossed before while encountering some uneven terrain. I quickly drove home and retrieved the parts. This team took the time to figure out the installation, even though the fittings provided by the manufacturer needed considerable tweaking and required much more time to complete. That evening I received a call my trike was repaired and ready to pick up. It was done to perfection. I'm so pleased to now have a bike shop that is efficient and exceptionally competent in their skills that provides service with a smile. If you're in need of a new bike, parts or repairs, I highly recommend stopping by. This team will make sure you leave happy! Thank you!
