I went to the website and scheduled an appointment through the online system they use, StyleSeat. I scheduled the appointment for that Saturday at noon. That same day, I emailed the owner, Naura, asking if I could come in before the appointment to test an area to see if I was allergic to the product. She returned my email the following day saying she did not feel comfortable working with a client who suspects an allergy to the product. I was disappointed but understood and asked her to cancel my appointment on Saturday. This took place on Wednesday, three days before the scheduled appointment. Naura responded to my request Friday morning, the day before the appointment. She told me that I must cancel the appointment through StyleSeat because she does not have access to my account. When I logged on to Style Seat, it was after noon so a $100 late cancelation fee for canceling less than 24 hours before the appointment was now in effect. I had the choice of canceling the appointment and being charged $100 or not showing up for the appointment and being charged $200. Neither option seemed fair since I had asked Naura to cancel the appointment in writing three days before the appointment. So I contacted Naura and StyleSeat to see if they could cancel the appointment without the late fee due to the circumstances. Leah from StyleSeat responded and sent Naura instructions on how to cancel the appointment on her end. Naura went in the system, canceled the appointment and charged my credit card the $100 late cancellation fee. She did this after telling me that she was not comfortable working with me; after receiving a written cancelation notice 3 days prior to the appointment; after waiting two days to respond back; and after lying about not being able to cancel the appointment on her end though StyleSeat. I believe most business owners would have waived the late fee under the circumstances but Naura chose to stick to the fine print.

When I walked up to the building I could see that it was an older establishment without all the bells and whistles that I'm used to when getting a Mani/Pedi but it was close by so I gave it a try. I walked in with no appointment at 12:40pm on a Friday afternoon and was seated immediately. They offer 3 options for a pedicure service: a basic ($30), a spa ($38), and a deluxe ($48). I chose the deluxe because I really wanted that relaxing, spa like feel which almost puts you to sleep that I usually receive when I'm getting my feet done. Unfortunately I didn't get that experience this time. Everything just felt rushed and incomplete. The entire process, from the moment I walked through the door up to the moment I sat down to let my polish dry took a little less than 30 minutes. A deluxe pedicure which was supposed to include a sea salt foot soak, nail polish removal, nail trim/cut, a cuticle trim, a heel scrub, mud mask, sugar scrub, foot massage, leg massage, hot towels, and polish application with top coat afterwards should've lasted more than a mere 30 minutes. Now for someone who's in a rush to get in and get out that's great, but I came to really relax and receive a thorough pedicure. Cash payments are encouraged. If you don't have cash, there is a $2 processing fee when you pay with a credit card but they do accept cash app, venmo, and zelle. Hours are Monday-Saturday 10am to 7pm. Walk-ins welcome.

Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have. Hopefully this review will help others avoid making the same mistake I made in hiring such low-quality service. I hired the services of BridesMaid Beautiful on December 6, 2022. I sent my contract with the $200 deposit to secure my date. I took a long time to find a good place to assist me in my big day. I had the extra challenge of finding a professional because I am not a Michigan resident, and it took me longer to find someone local to my venue. Initially, I came across the Facebook page of BridesMaid Beautiful, and I was impressed by what I saw. My disappointment began on June 8th when I drove over 6 hours to go to their salon and get my makeup trial. They introduced me to the "professional" who was going to do my makeup. I showed her my inspirational picture of makeup, and she immediately started doing my eye makeup. She didn't clean or prepare my face. She just literally started doing my makeup in a really sloppy manner, and very rushed. Another detail I would like to emphasize, she was eating while also doing my makeup. Very unpleasant and unprofessional. She did everything so fast; she pretty much finished a bride's makeup in 30 min. I was shocked by the result! However, I was trying to work with her and trying to guide her to create a look more similar to what I had in mind. After several tries to fix the makeup, I gave up because it was not getting any better. Another issue that I found with her makeup products is the quality of them; it seems to be very cheap makeup. With just a simple touch, the makeup would come off on my fingers and also stained my outfit. She used eyelashes on me that are very thick and don't seem natural at all. The eyelashes were also not really aligned with my real eyelashes, and looked crooked. All of my lines of expression on my face were very emphasized, and I ended up looking older than I actually am. The coverage of the makeup was really poor; I had a small pimple on my face that was still visible after the makeup. After leaving her salon, I literally cried in the car. Besides all the issues I had with my makeup, I was also charged $30 dollars extra on top of the $200 trial price; according to them, this is the new price of the trial, which does not follow my contract.
